Because it was your first VN you enjoyed and you're expecting every other one to hit the same beats as KS while only playing what the VN casuals on Yea Forums recommended. I don't know what the fuck you're doing reading Grisaia, KnS, Yume Miru and Fate if you want a "down to earth story" like you said. There's VNs like Narcissu, Kana Imo, ef, Shinigami no Kiss, almost every Key VN and more that completely shit on KS, which is also a great one itself.
There are thousands of VNs out there, and if you can't find another one to enjoy then that's your fault.
