Came here to post this. I can imagine why someone would feel pressued to like a movie or a book, for fear of sounding uncultured or going against the mainstream opinion, but pretending to like a video game would be like pretending to like a board game. Nobody will care if you do or don't, and it will only cause you problems if you pretend because then someone might ask to play it with you.

If you don't like fucking Mario or Doom you're just straight up dumb. They're designed to be enjoyable within seconds because of how simple their gameplay is to understand.
