What kind of game is Twisted Wizard?
*GLORK* *GLORK* YIPPIEE
Clearly both fun and challenging.
Early Zoomers the book
some shitty zoomer game autists like greg and no one else really obscess over
What game is Nikki playing, Yea Forums?
I CARRIED AN M-16
GOD I FUCKING HATE THAT BITCH MACKENZIE I HOPE SHE GETS FUCKING RAPED TO DEATH
Look at this cunt
Greg clearly states it's an MMO action-adventure RTS souls-like RPG
Rodrick is based
She did nothing wrong
What's this, Yea Forums?
i wish that was me to just piss this user off
What did Greg mean by this?
Don't you know, user?
m.wikihow.com
YOU TOO could be like Mackenzie Hollister from Dork Diaries!
What the fuck
And Manny by this?
Please dont tell me you actually read a book for little girls user
ZOO-WEE MAMA!
Best girl
Man, reading this shit back in middle school when it was actually relevant made me realize how boring kid's books were at the time.
Captain Underpants was miles better.
"I love you no homo"
All you had to say Greg, you sperg
Captain Underpants was fucking kino
I distinctively remember I first saw it when I was like 6 and thought it was cringy and stupid because of the underwear motif. Then I read it when I was 8 and loved it.
I did, I own a copy. Though it's mostly for nostalgia reasons. After I burned through the DOWK books in elementary school, I saw the Dork Diaries series and went "Oh wow it's like Diary of a Wimpy Kid but for girls!" so I read a few because little babby me didn't give a shit. I got to thinking about like a year back and decided to pick the original back up from Barnes and Noble, and wow am I not the target audience. Still fun to read though, considering all the ridiculous shit that happens and the way Nikki overreacts to everything. It's also fun to read with friends especially with this petite little ugly-cute drawfag from one of my algebra classes. Too bad she already had a boyfriend though
The ending to the books got really dark I can't believe they published this.
I could read before I found Captain Underpants, but it wasn't until after I'd read it that I loved reading, and now my room looks like Yomiko Readman's.
And I still have my old copies of the whole series, up to the hiatus. Need to get the rest of them some day.
is this from a new book or some fan shit? I'd prefer the former since i
forget what I just said
The ending to Diary of a Supreme Gentleman was better, it actually made an empty page chilling.
I remember that shit had like time travel and alternate reality jumping and stuff
who /percy jackson/ though?
Does anyone have that page that drops a complete redpill on how adults are shitty?
I liked percy jackson for a while but then I got into actual greek mythology and gave up on it
Diary of a Supreme Gentleman? Wasn't that the manifesto left behind by Elliot Rodger?
Demons souls did not come out until 2 years after Wimpy kid.
my nigga
A youtuber called monkey made his manifesto into a diary of a wimpy kid parody for shits and giggles
Yeah, Munky Jones made a parody and managed to get a some copies printed, sold and delivered before he got a C&D.
it's a parody of his life based on the wimpy kid books
It was Twisted Metal but with Wizards riding lizards
Greg is a fucking sociopath
He did? No fucking way
post it
Twisted Sister?
I'm glad youtube recommended me a video of people shittalking Wimpy Kid fanfics or else I would have been beyond pissed at this
TWISTED SISTER?
>222 pages
he also recorded a 10 hour long audiobook of himself reading Elliot's manifesto
it's spyro but with wizards instead of dragons
sengoku rance
It's the entire manifesto/autobiography/suicide note, written like a children's book, with pictures on most pages.
It won't take that long to read.
I actually knew about that one
I listened to the whole thing in january and it inspired me to outline a movie, but I didn't went back on it
My nigger.
And who read those Warrior Cats books? I never continued past the first six, but my brother read something like 30 of them.
I played the fucking official tabletop RPG, my dude.
The best series of kids' books was Animorphs, prove me wrong. Nothing could be better than introducing kids to the concept of body horror, mutilation, genocide, sacrificing crippled kids to buy time, paranoia, and cosmic horror?
This is pretty good.
How did feral housecats know what a tiger was?
Animorphs was pretty great, but I read them all out of order and only like half the series in total because I could only read whatever my local library had at the time
Hork-Bajir Chronicles was kino
aaaawww shit nigga!!
>Hork-Bajir Chronicles was kino
Visser, the Ellimist Chronicles, and the Andalite Chronicles were all better, but it was still pretty damn good. The series as a whole got me into sci-fi and xenophilia. animorphsforum.com
What kind of game is Lifelight?
I looked into them when the movie came out, but the library didn't have a copy.
Does it do Hades justice?
What the hell's this from? I remember my little sister reading these years ago.
DOA, it'll never catch on
>game ends with the protagonist sacrificing himself to save the world
Dork diaries. I liked to read my little sisters copies too
>Burning cement
>/vlit/ thread
Wow, this is pretty rare. But anyway, did anyone else ever read this?
PvP Gauntlet
In retrospect, that series was kind of a soap opera.
>gore
>torture
>series ends with multiple main characters dead
who decided it was a kid series
Never read this but there's a live action adaptation of it out soon(maybe not soon).
>percy jackson
I fucking loved that series. I kind of want to reread it because I forgot a lot of things. Wasn't there a spinoff/sequel starring different kids some time after the events of the first series? I wonder how if it's any good.
I bet Greg is a tier-queer who went to 1 tournament and got his shit pushed in by some fat smelly autist that used a meme character and he cried the entire way home
more like TWISTED SISTER
I CARRIED AN M16
YOU DO NOTHING
YOU ARE NOTHING
Niggers help me, what's the name of the series with a character who could feel the past by wearing something
>ex: iirc he puts on a baseball glove and he feels the past wearers pain when their hand was broken while wearing the glove.
>DoaWK and Elliot Rodgers being your interests
What the fuck man
That sounds really familiar
Fanfiction
Yea Forums did a story time of it a month back
>tfw no Camp Half Blood MMORPG
Why even bother?
>5 books are pretty great considering their target audience
>Sequel series takes a massive shit over everything set up by the first, the new characters take more precedent over the old ones despite having little to no personality or likability
>Final book doesn't even follow through on things set up in its own series
>Final book serves more as advertising for the author's next series instead of as a satisfying conclusion
Why did Riordan think this was okay.
The movies flopped. He just stopped caring after that.
man the movie sucked ass, i can't think of a more generic movie than the lightning thief
>He was actually present for the first film's production
>tfw he later revealed email exchanges where he essentially begged the producers not to implement the changes they were making to the story because he knew that by trying to appeal to the wrong demographics the movie would end up bombing
I wonder how that feels, watching something you made get slowly but surely murdered over time like that. And in the end he was right, nobody likes those movies because they feel like such weirdly disjointed messes of children's fantasy with adult crass humor. What a shame
He talked shit about the movies on twitter a lot too
>tfw I own one of the physical copies
>no pic+timestamp
lying nigger
I really should finish this series at some point. I loved it as a kid
>delivered

Yes, and the sequel.
Was good shit.

Who read these?
I remember that my school only had the first book, and that I had to get the second book from a local library. Thing is, that library didnt have it either so they had to special order it from another library somewhere else, I waited weeks to read that shit
Yeet
Blessed post
>super squee edition
Oh my fucking god.
>elementary school
what the fuck, how old are you
My nigger I absolutely loved this shit
Ending was kino
Read up until the first 3 and completely forgot about them. Loved the descriptions of magic and the unevenly cut pages in the hardcover editions. Did the series keep consistent quality? Is it worth reading as an adult?
Nigga that's nothing
Reading threads like these always remind me that Yea Forums is just a SFW board of Yea Forums
Yea Forums is just 80% porn 10% penis rating 10% YLYL threads recycling years of content at this point.
wait, that actually sounds kind of cool
>listened to someone read this once
It's a masterpiece of cringe, isn't it?
Alright, this thread needs some Ready Player One.

It gets better.
I want you to guess the love interest's name.
I was really into this series but I never see anyone talk about it much, granted they probably don't hold up but I read every one of them multiple times in school
It's Chad, right?
Why is there a Yea Forums thread on Yea Forums
>VIDEO GAMES
6th graders in the class I student taught loved this book. Seemed pretty neat for a kids book. Can't hold a candle to mother fucking Redwall though.

I'm ashamed that I remember this shlock
Honestly it managed to stay good till the end. The first 3 books are definitely the best entries in the series, but they have some cool ideas all throughout. There is one reveal at the end that felt kind of hamfisted. I would read them just to see how it ends.
He's also a complete cringelord online.
There are many things I miss about the 2000s, but the unironic use of squee is not one of them.

This one's a lot more depressing, looking back now.
Damn, you were 11? I'm 19 myself, been here since 2014 though. I feel lime this place would have been too much for 11 year old me, I was still pretty innocent then.
This reads like a more crass KND episode.
I'm crying laughing at the actor saying this in one of the movies
Not user, but it was a pretty different place back in the day. Sure, there was still porn and gore and general edginess, but everything felt more innocent. Not just Yea Forums, really, the whole internet.
I wish I could go back.
Yeah, crazy how time flies. Started off on /h/ and ended up here not long after. Ended up surprisingly well-adjusted in every other aspect of my life despite the countless hours spent on this shithole.
you're currently browsing a website dedicated to japanese cartoons
The author is a pretty cool guy. He grew up with severe ADHD and basically was deemed to have "no future" by his school, saying teachers basically telling him he'll only ever do the most basic jobs since he's too retarded to do anything else. It made him, understandably, have nothing but hate for the American school system.
Hey you were supposed to say no as I was baiting you.
I'm 21 over here and I was here since before the catalogue, /vp/ had a bunch of CYOAs and gen 5 was a thing. I remember a friend in a grade above me showing me and a couple other students Yea Forums on his puny flip phone. I don't think the little thing got past the front page.
This image is pretty depressing.
I remember trying to load images on my 3DS's internet browser was a complete nightmare. Didn't think I'd ever be nostalgic for the 3DS, but here we are now.
>tfw reading fanfiction in my room on my 3DS before going to bed
ah, to be 19 again

I feel like that maybe have been true around 2004 to 2011 or so when over 9000 and rage faces were accepted but that was past the time I ever could have browsed.

It's weird looking back for me now, it may sound funny but I only lurked for two years before ever posting.
As shit as it is here I really don't know anywhere better. I sometimes think aboit how I wasted basically my high school years here but I didn't have any friends anyway.
Sorry for the blogfagging.

Eragon is trash.
457634087
Imagine so much of a faggot that you don't like Captain Underpants.
why is "Subway" written as the actual brand logo so funny
Who hurt you, son?
Eragon was somewhat enjoyable at the parts where it's from his cousin's POV as he wasn't a massive special OC donutsteel. Otherwise it was just a worse Star Wars OT smashed against LotR
It's cool man, I feel the exact same way. It really does feel like Yea Forums is the last bastion of what could be considered the "old" internet, for better or for worse. People joke about "don't forget - you're here forever", but it's true. No other website can really compare.
Why did you post this user? I know that you could articulate your opinions if you tried.
you know, I actually had a shitton of these books... Wonder what happened to them.
just remembered, there was a turn based ds game my sister got for us
You asked for it.
There is, it's pretty good
There's also the side series that goes into the Egyptian shit, which gets even cooler
MORE
I place the blame more on the ex-woodstock hippie teachers.
Not american but everytime I see people complaining about school they always talk about how their teachers were some insane nut that did stuff for no reason, my only reasoning being that they overdosed on drugs while in college.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE I want to know the type of person who wrote this. Is the librarian or teacher or whatever from the last one the author's self-insert?
What fanfic is this? It does seem like the logical endgame for someone like Greg.
Animorphs showed both the horror, and occasional unavoidable necessity, of war
As well as the moral ambiguity towards the end. Shit was way too real.
Get fucked retard
>does it mean vampire is Swahili
My sides
I've only ever had one teacher who was ever line that and he was only there for one year. You don't need geography in day to day life, right?
Great fucking series
>and there are some pretty bad books, but there are also good ones
yeah that's due to the large number of ghostwriters they had, I think around the middle
The good ones were mostly written Applegate alongside her husband, who used his secondhand experience of the Vietnam War and his military friends as influence for the Hork-Bajir Chronicles.
he also writes the Gone series
That guy got fucking owned
>yeah that's due to the large number of ghostwriters they had, I think around the middle
Applegate herself wrote some bad ones like the horse one where there's an Andalite toilet in Area 51.
>The good ones were mostly written Applegate alongside her husband, who used his secondhand experience of the Vietnam War and his military friends as influence for the Hork-Bajir Chronicles.
That makes a lot of sense.
>he also writes the Gone series
What's that about? I don't think I've heard of it.
Fuck that sounds cool. Have you read a series with genies? I read the first and maybe the second book, all I remember is two siblings, brother and sister, and they are djinns. Djinns in the series live for a long time and when they grant wishes they lose lifespan. I also remember them liking the heat and smell of cigars.
I always imagined it to be something like gauntlet.
The only YA series I know of with genies is The Bartimaeus Sequence, which apparently holds up as an adult. Definitely not the one you're looking for, but still interesting. I really, really liked those as a kid.
YA literature wacky scenario, where a seemingly impenetrable bubble forms around a small town with no warning, and every person over the age of 15 disappears without any explanation until later, so the kids are instantly left to fend for themselves and (actual spoiler) develop superpowers, then (minor spoiler) brutal violence ensues between the surviving children, through power struggles and the older children's attempts to reinstate adult civilization and keep everyone fed.
It's an interesting and fairly gripping series which I haven't actually finished. Get it from the library so you aren't down money if you don't like it
hey user
what game did you like most in the gauntlet series out of the ones you've played?
holy fuck this is actually hard to read
like
i dont think that any of those moments isolated would ever actually occur in real life
hipster nerd chic holds out his hand, "AND YOU , MADDY, HAVE JUST EMBARRASSED THE MOST POWERFUL KID IN SCHOOL"
that is some of the most bullshit untrue dialogue ever
The Giver?
What YA series had the kids with the powers and one of them could take other people’s powers or something and the girl could use cold powers and ended up freezing time when she fought that one guy. Vague description I’m sorry.
That would possibly be Gone series
Follow up, I remember one of the villains might have gotten morphed into a stick or a twig and broken himself to get hands and legs
I do. I remember picking it off the shelf in my fifth grade class and becoming completely absorbed in it. It was honestly really sad from what I remember, but I think that might've been something that hooked me in.
>No Darren Shan
Those books were such a fucking masterpiece they became manga
If I remember right, the author was in her late thirties at the time of writing, so probably.
Oh fuck I know what that is, but I can’t recall what the book series is called. Septumus Heap maybe?
I said it was a masterpiece of cringe. I wasn't lying.
Here. And it was a toothpick not a twig.
Dude I know what series you're talking about. I think the plot went something like their uncle coming to them after their parents died and telling them they djinns. That series was pretty good, I remember in one part they got captured in India and some cult leader tried become a djinn by replacing his blood with theirs.
Anyone read Rangers apprentice? Remember reading it fondling in middle school.
Was there ever a worse case of wasted lore other than probably Ass Creed?
fondly*
Anyone read TUNNELS?
Quality series. Dropped after the warrior guy went to Japan but only because I had other extracurricular activities
Oh, we know what you meant, fondler.
Reread it quite a bit. Actually pretty neat book.
Pls no bulli.
Oh Christ, she's supposed to be fifteen? I thought this would be like a middle school thing.
I knew a kid who read these. The name always struck me as being completely awful.
>All the Zoomers are now trying to push their retarded preschool culture
*SIIIIIIP*
Story was cool
Might have to check them out at the library then
Make way for #1 fags
Instead of making an articulate comment about the needless toilet humor, you instead went to Pikley's level and shat out this monstrosity instead. Good god, stuff it peabrain nigger.

What's with this guys obsession over Elliot anyway?
If you found a golden goose that kept getting you views while letting you be edgy, would you let go?
jesus christ im dying
>not american but
yeah i've only ever had one teacher like that, it happens but it's not the main problem
>Never read this but there's a live action adaptation of it out soon(maybe not soon).
it's coming out in August and it's going to be fucking shit. It was cast in a way that means the director must have rewritten most of the story for it to make any sense
Just read the whe thing
I feel dirty now
tfw we had pretty similar childhoods up until about age 17 and theres the very real possibility I could have turned out like he did
Could be, but Elliot required an extra level of mental illness which went completely untreated by ignorant parents. What caused you to deviate from his path?
lmao
It's pretty good.
Almost killed myself but realized I was being a little bitch and that none of my problems were completely unsolvable, I'm doing much better now. You're right though, elliot was a dude who was just not made for this world
Well, I'm glad you pulled yourself out of your bullshit, user.
that's just idiotic, tomorrows are better than yesterdays and without a tomorrow there's no point in getting back to a yesterday
Call me a normie but I think the pics you shouldn't share threads are kind of creepy.

Yes and I achieved those
Posting a masterpiece, fools who know it as The Golden Compass can't compete
It's a PS3 emulator

I have low standards but my life's goals were to get a degree in biology, get a job where I could sit( meaning an office job), marry a Japanese woman ,and earn around 40k. I did it all and then more.
Greg did nothing wrong
>YA Lit thread
Oh I am there. This is ironically my favorite series.
