No. It removed the intricacy of board smarts and item usage, lowered the amount of coins, stars, and movement, and added in partners, which do nothing but give you an extra dice and an extra 0 to 2 spaces. It has half the minigames, and not being able to retardy it is just an extra reason to hate it.
