We can all agree that this game is going to go down as less popular than even DaSII

I'd still much rather play Dark Souls 2 than Sekiro at the end of the day.

I fucking love this game but I feel like you're right, just because people seem to be getting casual filtered right off the bat by the ogre and the shinobi hunter. I read someone died 40 times to fucking Gyobu. You could grind and summon to get through souls and bb, but here you have to git gud or give up, and people don't like finding out that they're bad at something.
My personal ranking so far: BB> DS before lordvessel > Sekiro > Nioh > Rest of DS> DS3 >>> DS2

I wouldn't even put Sekiro in the same category as the Souls games. It just feels like a basic action game to me. But if I did have to throw it in the ranking it'd be.

Dark Souls > Bloodborne > Dark Souls 3 >Demons Souls > Sekiro > Dark Souls 2

Exactly this. I like sekiro so far, but playing it has made me want to play a Soulsborne game again. After I beat this, I’m going to replay the series again. I hope from does another souls game tbqh.

Is the reason I hate it because I also thought bloodborne was shit? I guess Im not seeing how they are simliar since I only played like 10 hours of bloodborne before giving up and returned this game in after an hour.

It’s hard. I just cheesed ashina. It’s weird because lady butterfly and the drunkard I killed pretty easily. Both I got on my third attempt but the mini bosses are giving me so much trouble. They all seem to have one attack that comes out like lightning.

I don't think BB and Sekiro are "like both or hate both" at all.
I love BB and think Sekiro is meh.

They’re not really similar. Give bb another try. BB has a good start, then after vicar the bosses get a bit boring. The dlc and also the chalices are really fun. Just make sure you know what you are doing with the chalices, meaning taking the correct route to get to the last boss. Look up a guide for that
