Yeah, that's what they all say.
"It's bad on purpose"
he was unstable yes, I'm not saying I think the game (or any game really) encourages violence, but it's not like soccer moms and newscasters or reporters actually played it, and even if they had they'd probably have said it enables the fanatsy of being a crazy guy or some bullshit
I don’t think you understand the political climate at the time user. Politicians were talking about how violence was caused by video games every day on the news. There were a ton of politicians talking about banning violent video games entirely. I remember one was named Leland Yee who tried to get Postal 2 banned and was later convinced of arms dealing. Postal 2 was intentionally made a parody of violent video games in reference to this. It’s why all of your objectives are mundane and why all of them can be completed non-violently. It was to send a message.
I still hate how much X-play trashed this game daily. They kind of expected too much from it and took it too seriously.
postal 1 is almost art
i think columbine is what made them do it, unironically. even the postal 1 expansion packs had dark humor in it.
The base game has humor.
very rarely. the expansion just goes wild with it though and has you shoot nudists in some resort and some walmart employees for not selling postal
>art game
>art anything
Never understood why people exclaim something being "artistic" is a virtue of being "good". Art is simply means a person or collaboration of people using their creative skills to create a piece of work. Literally anything is art. If you're trying to say that your creation has an underlying message beyond the literal then just say that, but that doesn't equate to it being more or less "art".
Paul Blart Mall Cop is technically "art".
Saying your work is "art" doesn't mean dick.

My favorite part about Postal 1 is how RWS handled the demon's voice so awkwardly that they just made it the Dude's actual voice in 2.
