I have a dual boot with Ubuntu but I only ever use it for compatibility testing when I publish a project. Windows isnt the meme it once was.
So now that linux has a bare minimum of 90% the performance in windows and up depending on the game...
and to answer your question, I don't want to waste a day to make sure shit is up to date and set up my enviroment

I like having an OS that doesn't require constant maintenance. Linux just isn't suited for the average desktop/user and will always remain a niche for hobbyists.

Yes but only because I'll use that half for netsec stuff and not gaming.
Linux is shit about having wifi drivers that work. You often have to jump though at least one hoop.

It doesn't really require "constant maintenance" if you're not into that. It's just that people who are tend to love fiddling with it. You could install it and only open the terminal when you want to install something.

I literally have a 500gb m.2 ssd coming tomorrow and could potentially give a dual boot a try.
