It was clearly standard idol stuff by episode 3. And several of the episodes in Season One were more about how the girls died

Hmm it's true I don't remember much from S2. The idol stuff was more of the same I think, and that whole lengthy flashback did nothing for me as well as the strange disaster plot. It was a relatively weak season compared to the fun and wholesome quirkiness of the first.

I think you all were expecting ZLS to be like idol Gintama way too much

Did you all forget about the period drama, Saga demons and fucking aliens?
