The Stranger?

Nope, although I can see why you would think that

If this is Brothers Karamazov then it is a very reductive summary of the book

It's excruciatingly MALE.

Ahh, it's The Trial, isn't it?

its amazing how many novels sort fit with this story

Your thread has potential OP.
I was going to guess the first reply, but will leave another one nonetheless.

Yep

Maybe it’s just because I’m a misogynist, but I’ve noticed most 1 star reviews of good books are by women. Go ahead, look at any classic and you’ll see most 1 star reviews are by women who don’t understand the book.

It has to be extremely well known for woman to start reading it, at least mildly difficult or boring for her so that she stopped, and contains "poetic phrases".
This really leaves a lot of room but I am going to go with either homer or shakespeare

Wait, people didnt get tht this was the trial immediately?

Lolita

You are right, almost all of 1 star replies under classics complaining about sexism/racism are from women. They are the vanguard of neoliberalism, sort of like Red Guards of our time
Very good, I even censored word pedophile so it wouldnt be as obvious

It's pretty subversive actually. I'm guessing Bukowski btw

Must be Atomized

At first I thought this was Notes from the Underground, but the main character is unnamed and "Dostoevsky" doesn't fit in the censored spots.

>of like Red Guards of our time
The red guard fought to save us from succumbing to this hell. No more red guard, suddenly unfettered global neoliberalism. What a surprise.

>Maybe it’s just because I’m a misogynist
That one. It's called confirmation bias. And you don't have a monopoly over what constitues the right interpretation of a book

fear and loathing in las Vegas?

Bukowski is close, the author of this book influenced him

I was referring to chinese students during cultural revolutions that burned books and destroyed old culture because they were completely consummed by their ideology

lord of the flies

Lol you actually believe what google feeds you? the earth is flat and aliens are interdimesnional bigfoot too right?

Maybe it's just that I am a retard, but I've noticed most steam accounts are owned by men.

No

I guess Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller

bro you've actually opened my eyes. Leave it to women to leave reviews. I'm so far removed from ever thinking of owning a goodreads account

Winner winner chicken dinner

How did you get Lord of the Flies from that?

No Longer Human?

In Search of Lost Time.
