Much as I hate to say it, there were some serious death flags for Saeko. She's our favorite character and easily is best girl, but the author seemed quite interested in sending her off to cement Roach as the winner of the Takashibowl.
Hence the feud that ended his relationship with Inazuma, who was pulling for Saeko. Everyone forgets that HOTD stopped updating YEARS before the author died, and most people speculate that the Saeko vs Rei split between Inazuma and Sato is what caused them to stop collaborating.

Saeko, but Inazuma was against this most likely. To be honest, it was a good choice. I find Roach to be the least attractive of the 4, with Shizuka being #1
