They have hyper regerenation, their only weakness is either cutting off their neck or using the sun, they have bullshit blood abilities and they even have developed some extreme death avoiding strategies like Hantengu's body double or Akaza living with the sheer force of his will.

the best part of Kimetsu's action is that it shows exactly how desperate each fight is. Dont you remember how much bullshit they pulled off in RLD? It was so convincingly desperate that I was certain that flamboyance will die and daki will run off like Akaza.

I think beside Akaza, none of the UM actually care about their ranking in the UM. Hantengu definely not, Gyokko care more about his pot than advancing rank and Gyutaro only care for what his sister want. Douma seem like only advance to 2nd Rank to piss off Akaza.

My head canon is that Gyokko actually on his way out, maybe if Daki and Gyutaro have more time and the drive to challenge him, they could easily take his rank.

Having social skills is worth something, which is both Rengoku and Kanae demonstrate, and Sunbro clearly had none of it despite being a good person. Tomioka's entire arc was pulling his head out of his ass and actually making an effort to accept his position and work with the others.

There is no reason to assume Mitsuri is the second weakest outside of the fact that she is a girl. Tanjirou and Genya agreed that she was the only person present who could even stall the aspect of Hatred.

You don't have to think, you have to read the manga, Karonji is flat said by the narrator to be faster than Uzui during her Breath moves showcase against Hatengu, Uzui meanwhile is physically stronger.

Her muscular strength is 8 times that of her build. She eats like a grown man, and her strength is the exact same as Giyuu, Sanemi, and Rengoku. She's only physically weaker than Himejima and Uzui, who are noted to be legitimate monsters strength wise.

All I'm saying is that the flashback gives us context to his decisions, what pushed him to make them, etc. I do think that if they had had a better relationship, Koku wouldn't have become a demon, just as a statement of fact. Family dynamics is a central theme in the manga, so it makes sense that the author would make one of the biggest villains turn out the way he did because of fucked up family issues.
