I think misamisa art always capitalizes on the different ways the two express satisfaction with their relationship. It usually does a good job of showcasing Mikoto's embarrassed enthusiasm as a contrast with Misaki being either confident or happily bewildered, depending on who has the initiative. That's what I like about the shipping art, at least, and is a big part of why it's my second favorite Mikoto ship.

People don't really fall in love for unique/convulated reasons in Index and Touma even hovers upon that point in NT9. All it takes is for someone to be in the right scenario to build a relationship and Hamazura is basically the poster child for this.
