Fate's original pitch is much better then FSN's actual pitch, and took more heavily from the character's that Nasu was using mythos, and had a far more brutal background for the main character. Arthur as a girl was literally because Takeuchi whined about it for fucking months, and then he proceeded to Saberface the SHIT out of everything he ever drew afterwards.

It kind of feels like female leads are never portrayed as naive as Goku is sometimes (especially as a teen).
