My country still doesn't know anime exists outside of a few kodomo series that aired on TV in the 90s. And I'm glad for that.

Look at those fat thighs.

It doesn't exist, since anime is not shown on TV anymore.

I haven't watched local TV in years. I always watch cable or Netflix. I heard local censorship is getting pretty ridiculous these days, considering cable is lightly censored as well.

Funny when censorship makes it look lewder than it is. There isn't even pantsu shot.

Haven't watched anime on national TV for a long ass time but in the 90s in pastaland they went full retard with the censorship
Any sort of violent scene (even light wounds showing blood), nudity scenes (ie showing breasts like in ranma 1/2) got completely cut off. In some cases plot points had to be changed in order for the episode to make sense, in some cases completely fucking up the whole plot of the anime. Controversial topics and plots that where either considered "too heavy" or inconvenient were completely changed. In some cases just referencing japanese culture was enough to get shit cut or completely changed, making a complete mess of some animes. What's even more sad is that started happening out of nowhere and became a common practice for several years right after we got a stupid amount of animes in the 80s in the purest vanilla form.

america where you can see people graphic
deaths in the news, but can't see two girls kissing in the media

Pretty retarded.
They love taking series clearly not meant for children then ripping/blurring half of it out to try to make it so.
This is because of 'animated=for children' mentality. Applies not just to anime, anything not live action is assumed by parents to be targeted at kids, then they get offended and scream "how could you show this to kids?!"

DID SOMEONE SAY JELLY DONUTS?!

i don't watch anime on TV, so I don't know and couldn't care less.

I haven't watched dubbed TV anime broadcasts for like 12 years

>deaths in the news, but can't see two girls kissing in the media
Obviously.

L-Lewd!

Based

Netflix censors the shit out of anime. TTGL, KLK, and NGE being the worst offenders in my opinion.

What was censored in NGE?

I wonder what they did during the mom-kissing-son scene.

Brock isn't so much an example of censorship as it is just goofy localization. Nothing's being hidden.

rent free

They removed scenes where Mineta is assaulting girls. So now he's being punched and hated by everyone for absolutely no reason.
Also All Might don't cough blood. They just removed that gag completely.

They totally censored the original where Goku calls Gohan a faggot.

What about Momo?

My country bans censorship since we used to be under commie rule so all Anime is uncensored but dubbed.

Eh, can't be as bad as Malaysia's.

They removed a few close-ups on her naked body (when her suit is torn up) but other than that it's actually fine, her suit isn't edited or anything.
It's just a very lazy censorship. They just took the uncensored DVD release and removed the bloody/sexy stuff without any care for the continuity. Though they curiously kept all the swear words, I really don't get it.
Almost makes you nostalgic and impressed at the 4kids days where they would redrew every single frame. That was actual dedication and didn't affect the plot too much. Almost.

Brazil had such a good run with anime before this fucking piece of shit TV channel decided they needed ANOTHER audience show with an annoying ass presenter talking about sjw shit every day and so they cut out the only anime/cartoon timeslot.

If it weren't for that I bet we would be getting dubs of last season anime voiced by Brazilian goku by now. Shit sucks.

>without any care for the continuity
That's the best censorship.

Anime in the US is almost never censored anymore because it all airs late at night. The last thing I remember being censored is Kira saying cock in the last episode of Jojo part 4, which is weird and I don't think is usually censored. There was less censorship in the Jojo anime on American TV than there was on Japanese TV.

I wonder what they did for this scene

Seems it's time for Bolsonaro to act and make anime real.

Imagine anime airing at daytime in your country. Metoos raging on the street would be hilarious.

Old TV5 is better, feels like they put effort in choosing their VAs. And they have replays from 1pm to 5pm I think during weekends.

I'm Korean

Its even lewder when you sensor it.

Is porn still illegal?

They did show early DB, the whole DBZ, Elfen lied, ikkitousen AND kodomo no jikan uncensored.
But used the 4kids version of YuGiOh even thought they had the rigths of the original uncensored one.

Shit Is weird tho

They cut out shinji and kaworu's bath scene

This is why licensed will never be striving industry. Too much censorship or americanization (or should I say africanization?).

Why even bother showing something on TV if you are gonna ruin the experience with censorship? Just find a show that you don't have to censor.

SPBP

This.

There's that later one where the replaced the onigiri with a giant sandwich though.
One piece has it beat with wacky laser guns, or Yu-gi-oh invisible guns.

>countries that aren't the US censoring their versions (sometimes even worse than the US did in the past, which doesn't happen anymore in the US) is "americanization"

No idea about today, but in France back in the late 80s/early 90s, violent anime like City Hunter or Hokuto no Ken were dubbed with a very light tone to sound harmless.

I strongly support a federal censorship regime. I am always glad to see certain content censored, because I find such content to be disturbing.

Nah, they don't do this anymore (it was funny tho). Now that they respect manga as an art form, they wouldn't dare disrespect an author like that.
Instead they translate it perfectly for the DVD release but air it censored like said (TV networks don't give a shit about art, and they don't want parents complaining about "blood in my children's chinese cartoon").

Have you considered just not watching?
