Normally I agree with you, but FGO not having an interesting story was a complaint for it's first years and they've completely moved past that to the point where it's a legitimate story now. That's why they're skipping the first 5 parts and only adapting the interesting story parts of FGO
I'd like to note, I don't care about the gacha game part of FGO but the plot is pretty interesting to follow

2nd season is by Mappa surprisingly. That said Granblue anime is pointless, because no one cares about main story cast. They should have maid either episodic show featuring most popular chars, or something like fantasm carnival from fate - a comedy with inside gags. Or just even a full season of sexy and cute girls doing sexy and cute things on the beach.
