>Any anime
>Ever being 10/10
If it isn't on paper then it's automatically SHIT
Episodes 4 and 10 of both seasons of NNB were 10/10.
Episode 4 of NNB Repeat was literally and unironically the greatest episode of anime ever made. The second half of it was fucking perfect... everything about it, from the writing to the direction to the music.
really makes you feel like you're a part of the club
You really need to use MadVR or mpv and enable debanding.
Mushroom is so fucking cute.
Don't have a picture of it but the finale of Gungrave is probably my favorite anime ending of all time.
If it's moeshit or has any elements of a "cute" artstyle, it's automatically shit.
VEG episode 10
You must be 18 to post on 4channel
>>>/reddit/
what about logh cmon man
EP 4 of S2 just felt like a tryhard attempt to repeat the perfection of EP4 of S1 and failed
I still think the manga did that chapter better. The insert song was nice, but I like imagining the cacophony of rain as the two just listen in awe
Yui realizing how much she cares about chito was also kino.
Comfy kino.
this
There's so many to pick from Aria. This is the first episode I think hits that 10/10 mark. When symphony starts playing I start crying.
Yeah, this episode was superb. The whole earlier section in the apartment, where they're imagining a bustling city, is comfy and heart-rending at the same time. Their imaginations have so little to work with: the most they can come up with is a bed and a book-case and the sounds of children :'(
Then of course the Rain Song is 10/10.
That episode is objectively 10/10 but I prefer the last episode personally.
This is the only 10/10 episode of VEG.
this but unironically
>all these butthurt moefags unable to handle the truth
kek
They should make a whole anime about a tiny little train in the woods.
Yeah, most of moe is garbage but remember it’s an art style, and even though 99% of the time a moe art style holds hands with bad writing, there are still a few that are good
>Haruhi
>Sakura Card Captor
>Non Non Biyori
>Azumanga Daioh
CCS transcends moe.
Yeah, might be the cutest anime ever made and also the best at using the traditional magical girl formula. Really great cast handle and interactions
Based and contrarian pilled
This so much.
I know I'll probably never have kids, and I really don't care or think I'll ever regret it, but those episodes bros...
Episode 40 and 50 of Doremi's final season
every episode was 10/10 for me
Yeah that one really stuck with me. I also like the one with the owl, the one with the fox thing and the one with the cyclops thing who wanted to keep natsume as a pet.
This
I agree
kill yourself
This one was 10/10, but the one with the writer coming to terms with his daughter passing was the other high point for me.
>10/10 episode
More like a 10/10 show.
Still amazes me how such a shitty show could have such a fantastic final episode.
Based user
The second episode ;_;
good choice
>shredded 6' tomboy is the underdog
>4' Japanese woman is the favorite to win
I mean it was pretty obvious who'd win.
beat me to it
Agreed.
Yeah but it was gold standard. VEG has a definitive 10/10 episode, and most series do not have one.
Literally 10th
surprised no one has posted THAT episode yet
sauce?
This. If I had to pick only one episode as a 10/10 this would be it.
It literally does everything right, has no flaws and encompasses everything great about the show itself. VEG has a bunch of episodes that do in 20 minutes what most drama shows can't do in 12 episodes but this one easily takes the top spot .
Non Non Biyori Repeat episode 4 is the greatest anime episode of all time, transcending its genre by illustrating the beauty of life's simultaneous transience and permanence with a masterfully directed juxtaposition of life and death.
metadata
It's hard to know which 10/10 episode to pick from the series.
These are the only good ones thus far.
Cross Game episode 1.
Shirobako 23
Haibane Renmei finale
based, I only watch anime based off stories inherited by storytellers from ancient times
When will Haruhi make summer end?
Everything about this scene was perfectly executed.
>most of moe is garbage but remember it’s an art style
It's okay user, they'll find a cure for brain damage someday.
Calling moe an art style is dumber than calling shonen a genre. It's more like an abstract kind of emotion something gives you. Finding an anime without moe would be like finding an anime without happiness. And of course it's completely subjective.
You clearly haven't watched the one OP posted then.
There was an even better one in YagaKimi.
Why was Touko's time manipulation powers never brought up again?
Araki just forgot.
>tfw every episode is a 10/10 episode
Hard to pick but I go for this one.
Almost e0very single episode from Mob Psycho's 2nd Season. The first episode with the girl was beautiful, the haunted house stuff was gut-wrenching and almost ended up being the darkest thing I've seen in manga without being edgy (I don't think many things in anime would be above Mob having to murder the ghost dad out of necessity with that voice acting and visuals), the Mogami episodes were like the Exorcist movie in anime format and improved, and the Reigen two-parter was 10/10 as well.
Of course some people would disagree with the Claw arc episodes being perfect.. but I'm a fightfag and this is a battle shonen so at the very least the final episode against the Boss was perfect and reminded me of Avatar.
This single episode condenses all of the Jojo magic in 20 minutes, I tend to show it to people who haven't started it yet because it's easy to understand and they love it.
I'd consider it perfect. The pacing and visuals and story... there's nothing else to improve and it sells the whole anime for people who thought it was only gay men posing.
Season 3 finale
Remember when yama no susume was about climbing mountains
When will we see them again?
Happiest episode in the world
Last episode of Hyouge Mono
Strike Witches, Episode 7
More Rie Matsumoto when
I LOVE YOU SARA
I want Renge to be my daughter.
Girls und Panzer Saishuushou 6 was 60 minutes of uninterrupted kino.
>It's more like an abstract kind of emotion something gives you. Finding an anime without moe would be like finding an anime without happiness. And of course it's completely subjective.
...and it’s ME the one with brain damage?
All of these were fucking amazing too
He's right, though. Moe, in an anime/manga context, is any strong, positive emotion which a character produces in the viewer/reader.
You clearly have not lurked on Yea Forums long enough to understand its subject matter enough to be able to post on Yea Forums in a manner which does not insult the rest of us with your ignorance. Lurk a lot more before posting on Yea Forums again.
I want to make Ann real.
I thought the first episode was slightly better
I like ratt with jotaro and josuke just as much
10/10 episode and 10/10 voice acting
Based
I want to hug shota Goro
>hasn't watched school live
Based and bluepilled
No, you don't have brain damage. You're just an idiot that uses words without even knowing what they mean.
One day, Pinhead realized something wasn't quite right.
That guy's dad sounds like a faggot. People with no appreciation for NNB are top tier brainlets.
The last episode of S1's criminally underrated. I can't help but get emotional every time I replay those last 10 minutes on my head.
Samurai Champloo's ep 8 (or was it 9) is way fuckign kino.
So was Michiko e Hatchin's ep 14.
uhm, single episodes can reach kino levels greater than their respective series.
this is that thread.
nice.
10/10 episodes, not 10/10 characters....
She was awesome in this one.
I wish I could do that
I just rewatched this one and it's up there as well.
I'd fucking hope so, the Gakkou Gurashi anime is dogshit
BASED
I know that feel, light pollution is pretty bad where I live
Literally ass.
I was laughing through the entire episode so I'll have to agree.
Reminder that this is AOTS/Y/D
First episode was the best, though.
- 6.6 billion kinds of solitude
- "My life still hasn't started"
- Humans themselves are hope
- He fell down silently
Literal 10/10 episode.
My niggas, all great options.
Cringe and bluepilled
Solid choices, but the relay race was even better.
This was a 10/10 but the series turned to shit after this episode. But still that scene was amazing
based user
10/10 episode
10/10 character
S1 in general is underrated as fuck.
The whole series might as well be a 10/10, but this episode, and episodes 5 and 13 of the second season were something special
yfw gin's pattern shows up
Still makes me sad
I was about to post this, that fucking ED...
"What am I do with these feelings of hate and love?"
How fucking prophetic those words became once Phos went to the Moon herself.
My favorites are pic related and the diary episode, but that one was great too.
What episode was this again? S;G E22 or S:G 0 E8?
Best show ever
The episode alone made the series worthy to watch.
The monologues from the beginning of the episode 1 are much more heart-wrenching in episode 12 with context and all.
>The episode alone made the series worthy to watch.
Not even
I should watch Princess Principal
Loved the whole Wataten, but this episode was great in a surprising way. Ending with a literal musical was an interesting take on the "every CGDCT needs a bit of drama in the end".
This one episode of Space Dandy
I tried finding this clip on youtube but wasn't there for some reason.
Yurikino
I always cry with that episode also nothing will ever top the last 5 episodes of origination
If you rate nothing 10/10 then your rating system is flawed. 10/10 means the best you have watched, it's not objective.
>10/10 episodes, not 10/10 characters....
That show has neither
Was this show any good?
I saw few clips of it, and it seemed quite weird
AOTY 2012 contender
I miss Takkyuu
I always prefered this one
Maybe not 10/10
But at least 37/10 compared to the rest of the show.
>snk anime not being better than the manga
absolute retard
If it doesn't have great production values throughout it's objectively impossible for it to be a 10/10.
Therefore 99% of what has been posted ITT is, de facto, not 10/10. Deal with it.
Obligatory
The best context for this being 10/10 is it aired uncensored on international suicide prevention day.
It is weird but it's still one of the great classics.
>That show has neither
lol
So much this.
I can hear this gif.
So much good taste ITT.

The best honorable man, and second comfy to this madlad
fantastic taste. also shout out to the final episode of star driver.
Him or autistic detective were the best characters
What about 100/10 episodes?
Lost Song episodes 7 and 8
Only patricians will understand.
The hotel episode was better
Would you please tell me where this is from?
this user gets it
Google image search will find it easily considering it's one of the single largest franchises in anime.
3/10 anime
Lunge was great. That other guy was an overrated faggot
This
Also the first episode of PriPri
Airplane episode was kino as well
underrated post
The last ep was also pretty damn good.
Posting Ping pong is essentially cheating.
If you insist.
One of my personal favorites.
Dokkaan 40 is probably the best episode of tv anime but 50 is not as good. 49 and 51 are much better.
This would be true pre 2000 maybe.
The moe condition has been distilled into a commercial enterprise. There is such a thing as techniques to inspire moe. In this sense a "moe artstyle" can be a valid description
This anime was pretty underrated too.
Agree, this and the last episode were beautiful.
dog was the best part
during some parts
Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet 04
still only like halfway through but I really liked this one
You're just retarded.
fuck it episode 38 too, it's the first episode to kick off best OP and god damn it you could easily forget it considering how long the series it since nothing much happens in it but it's so fucking good
If you don't like it you don't even deserve to stand in the shadow of a cowboy
an my old post I found looking up my favorite episodes, still pretty solid
desuarchive.org
>oh yeah that happened in a 7/10 series
it's greatness was short lived but damn did it reach some highs
ep 1 from s2 is hands down the best
yes even
I laughed pretty hard when this happened. and the way hasuki lost that episode was glorious.
The performance on Eren's father alone is just fuckin nuts, by far one of the best i've ever seen, his sorrow is just beyond perfect
it was heartbreaking and made me want to die but okay
youtube.com
>left her alive to fend for herself like the whore she is
will we ever get another anime like Samurai Champloo again?
I wonder how many dorkfags even know about this gem.
obligatory
So if I print out an anime onto paper it is sufficient?
Retard

Nah, the real 10/10 episode was the one with the robots. Legitimate masterpiece with so much subtext that you legitimately make at least 3 dissertations about it.
I was ordered to live on.
I wouldn't say TBF has a single 10/10 episode but Shang's reveal, although it was predicted in some threads, in the first season was something very few shows can pull off. Same for Vapeduck vs. Bones of Creation. Those were simply done in such a fashion and with such panache that you can never get tired of them.
Lupin kino.
Now? better?
This was legitimately the only good episode of S2 because S2 was so boring and Reigen is carrying the show way too much for his poor back.
;_;
Seconding this
Every episode with Lunar's Papa is gold, but this one is a cut above.
Episode 5 is better. But the punch at the end of 13 is the best thing of the show.
I guess a 6/10 series can have a 10/10 episode from time to time.
The beginning is so funny with Spike and Jet acting like cavemen with the video tape and kicking that nerd's equipment then this scene happens
Champloo's first half was so strong
Honestly, it's easier to list the episodes of Dandy that are not 10/10 and even then, none are below 8/10
Dandy has so many but this is my personal favourite
Is it really good? The webms look interesting enough, but I don't particularly care about yuri romance
TOMORROW!
BUUUURRAANDOOOOOOON
This. The fight was fantastic.
Neither do I, but I enjoyed it. I think it's what you'd call "entry level".
It took a long time, but I'm glad someone posted Haibane Renmei.
I would've posted a lot earlier but it was too hard to pick a single episode
Nice boat.
trips of truth
Also when Kaiji cleaned out Ootsuki was a great ep
logh? You mean Log Horizon?
Can't believe I had to scroll this far down for this you fucking moeshitters.
These are the best ones thus far.
Oh, I thought 50 was the final episode. If its 51 then that one obviously
Hey, that’s Hell you’re walking into.
This one too
the fairy tail body swap episode
Probably not actually a 10/10, but I came into the series because of Owari and left remembering this.
Log horizon fucking sucks man
Final half of s2 was 10/10 for me.
source?
>That moment when the gay finally kicks in
10/10 Kino
>Episode 4 of NNB Repeat was literally and unironically the greatest episode of anime ever made. The second half of it was fucking perfect... everything about it, from the writing to the direction to the music.
What was it about again?
Patrician taste
That doesn't mean anything when people rate 90% of everything they watched 8-10/10. For brainlets like that a 3 star system is better. 1/3 - bad, 2/3 - okay, 3/3 - great/the best.
Was it the service dog episode? It was amazing
10/10
Yes, the one where every parts got connected in the end.
Drink as much wine as possible and marathon strawberry panic!
I do this once a year since it aired.
BTW pic rel.
Any of the last eps.
Great thread, beside the commoners.
I'd go so far as to say that it's one of the best romance anime out there, not just yuri romance.
ANDOOOOOOUUUUU was a fantastic ep as well
Fuck I hope the rest of the manga gets animated
The only not-10/10 episode was the one with the bee cult.
this one
Only good episode in the series.
Absolutely ruined for me because of amnesia in Ditf's plot. Anime and amnesia don't mix.
How can a tail be so fucking hot?
Flatty-san
Hitagi End is one of those "greater than the sum of its parts" arcs.
One of life's great mysteries.
>Then of course the Rain Song is 10/10.
The song after it, Over the Hills and Far Away, is better.
I was about to put that one.
teach me, senpai
imagine be this retard.
I'm disappointed this wasn't posted yet
If you have to ask, forget about mpv. Here's the related MadVR setting. Install latest version of MPC-HC from Videohelp, then MadVR, then xysubfilter, because MPC's default subtitle renderer is super slow with certain animated karaoke subs.
As for the rest of MadVR's settings, just experiment with them until you settle upon something that looks good and doesn't drop frames.
And in case you don't quite understand what debanding does, this image is a good example, as is comparing with With the image in this post, look at Komari's cheeks. With the other comparison, look at the colors in the sky.
Debanding is absolutely critical for anyone who watches seasonal anime via Horriblesubs or Erai Raws.
>Install latest version of MPC-HC from Videohelp, then MadVR, then xysubfilter
Oh: be sure to install only 32 bit versions of these or the shit won't work. These aren't programs that are going to use enough RAM to take advantage of 64 bit anyways.
Actually, think i figured it out. Took a moment to find out you need to copy the config file to C:\users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\mpv\
I'm using this i found online for anime:
###Deband###
deband=yes
deband-iterations=4
deband-threshold=50
deband-range=16
deband-grain=0
God the last stretch of Texhnolyze is soul crushing.
i dropped this when the mutant guy transformed into a helicopter. was that premature?
Such a waste she wasn't the main antagonist. That episode was perfect.
Cool. Just know that if you have at least a decent gaming PC and you feel like doing some heavy experimentation/configuration, an optimally configrued MadVR absolutely produces higher picture quality with anime than mpv. mpv is better for toasters and live action, though.
40 was a fucking brilliant episode
agreed
One of the best uses of the single frame budget cut
that episode in kino's journey (ep 13) when she goes to a city that is going to be destroyed by a vulcano. that one left me in tears.
Onechan!
Yakusokudayo!
Kissu shite!
This episode was one of the best episodes I've watched in a long time
wait till we get best dad fight. thats gonna hit hard
Too much fucking work for people who just wanna watch their shows. I swear some of you have too much free time
mpv is easy to set up ,then just copy some config files and you're good to go.
not them but yes i do have too much free time
>just copy some config files
The problem here is most config files you'd copy off the internet are suboptimal.
Yes, optimally configuring MadVR/mpv is certainly something for a select group of people who have an interest in precisely optimizing their video quality and have the spare time necessary to do the required experimentation to do so.
don't delude yourself, if you have time to shitpost on Yea Forums and watch anime you have plenty of free time. and setup is once and done.
Also:
>chess
>boxing
>first blood breed seal
>season 2 finale
>burger
>famine adventure
>insects
No, mpv produces just as good as a picture, if not better. Now fuck off with shilling your windows only shit.
4 10/10 episodes in a row
good for Robert
>space dandy s2 still not on nyaa
Planetes episode 11
10/10 indeed
I am still mad about the ending
youtu.be
Agreed on this. The spookiness was real.
Show any good?
Wrong. MadVR's exclusive upscaler NGU is better for anime than any upscaler available to mpv and MadVR's exclusive "reduce random noise" and "reduce compression artifacts" features help produce exceptional upscaling results in conjunction with adaptive sharpening.
>2019
>using blurpv
You know your argument is shit when it relies entirely on /g/ FOSS autism.
Shut up already.
seething
Based parrot
>adaptive-sharpen
already a shader
>reduce compression artifacts
already part of a shader
>reduce random noise
why the fuck would you want a denoiser running for every show
>still using an old comparison pic over actual numbers
lol: artoriuz.github.io
also madvr doesn't have chroma reconstruction like krigbilateral, so your reds will always look shittier than what mpv can do
>exclusive
>exclusive
>exceptional
Nobody who posted on Yea Forums could ever prove to me with screenshots that madVR could produce a better picture than what mpv with /g/ autism config couldn't do better. Nor did I ever see anything that looked significantly better than hq defaults that would make worth it, other than what you make it sound like. Now stop posting about this all the time on Yea Forums. I bet you're always the same person.
>why the fuck would you want a denoiser running for every show
It allows for stronger adaptive sharpening settings without resulting in noise. It's a terrible idea for live action but its benefits far outweigh its drawbacks when watching anime. The only real negative with anime here is it slightly blurs already out of focus, blurry backgrounds which the viewer is not typically paying any attention to, as they'll typically be focusing on the subtitles or the characters in the foreground.
>trying to objectively measure subjective visual quality
lol
>muh reds
Not having lineart which is blurry as shit is way more important than having a slightly different red.
An otherwise completely forgettable "let's throw a bunch of seiyus into an edgy improv comedy 3DCG anime" somehow produced the most stupidly funny scene in anime history
Also,
>why the fuck would you want a denoiser running for every show
Horriblesubs/Erai Raws. This should really be self-explanatory.
>no, no, you can't just go objectively measure high intensity signals like sharpness and well-defined lineart
take a signals class sometime. the only thing you're comparing is sharpness when you call mpv out for being blurpv and start obsessing over how high you can crank adaptive-sharpen, retard
There are elements of visual quality which can be objectively quantified but visual quality as a whole is ultimately subjective and interpreted differently from viewer to viewer. Substitute "audio" for "visual" in the previous sentence and it's equally valid.
Even the most autistic audiophiles don't listen to speakers which measure completely flat at the listening position because this sounds harsh, treble-heavy and, well, like fucking shit.
Trying to claim that objective measurables are the most important element of a viewer/listener's subjective enjoyment is full retard.
Lineart sharpness is by FAR the most immediately apparent difference when subjectively evaluating the anime upscaling capabilities of different media players and their various configurations. The three most important things MadVR and mpv do for anime viewers are as follows, in no particular order:
- Debanding;
- Preventing panning shots from being choppy;
- Upscaling
MadVR and mpv are roughly equivalent regarding the first two. However, mpv can't produce non-blurry anime upscales without noise; MadVR can. This makes MadVR better for anime.
>You will never experience another recap episode where the main heroine transforms herself into a goddess and shits on her show and the rest of the show's cast.
>MAL
I can't remember the last time I cried during an anime. This was one of those moments
OP here, I don't care, I got that image from google images.
No way
This was fucking good. I wasn't complety sold on this anime until that episode.
The animation in that scene was 10/10. Not liked very much the rest of the episode.
Incredible good anime, masterpiece finale.
This anime was pretty fucking good. S3 when?
The train scene, fuck.

Wataten had some great moments.
About time someone mentions Eva. I was beginning to think Yea Forums had shit taste.
Now you can tell for sure
