I would think that anyone who picks up S2, be it KyoAni again or another studio, they would work very hard to make it match the original's spirit, to honor those who made the first season what it was's deaths.
Also you'd be surprised. Monogatari for example has gone through a number of different directors but the presentation stayed mostly the same since what Shinbo established was so important.
