That's really on you, though. Read the manga if the anime is too slow for you, it's the same as the anime but you can read at your own speed. I understand people who drop the anime because having everything dragged out into 20ish minutes must be horrible but you can read and understand the manga in a day or two.

Wanted to like this, but the the 50th time the series teased at revealing the true nature of monsters I was thinking 'who even cares?'
I mean even the very first time the show asked 'don't you wanna see the true nature of a monster?' I was like 'I guess...?'
Maybe I dropped it before it REALLY got good, but since I was like 40 episodes in I really doubt it

the shows supporting characters are far stronger than most, to the point they are what carries it, and while I admit it was a bit of a slog at times, I don't regret the time I spent watching the show, it's just a shit tonne of material.
The ending was meh, but the ride to get there was quite enjoyable.
A good watch while doing other things, which is one of the reasons I recommend watching it dubbed. You won't pay attention for 29.6 hours solid, the audio really helps and the voice acting is fairly good for.. a good amount of the characters. Some of the children sound like cancer though

It's got an interesting beginning. However, outside of that emotionless tall guy that went berserk, and the ex-officer that was driven to suicide, it really, really, really drags on. The only thing that kept me from falling asleep was side stories that was more exciting, like the Brad Pitt lookalike that disliked women, at least things happened in it. The absolute worst episode was the the one with the old English couple, literally nothing happened. And it was solely made so that the old guy would say that he suspects that Tenma wasn't a killer. Holy shit. We established his likeability a thousand times already, what the fuck even was the point?
