I think sunbro gave Muzan the raping of a lifetime, but Muzan is already effectively immortal and survived it. Either he managed to escape and sunbro spent the rest of his life searching for him, or sunbro was eventually forced to retreat as he realized no matter how much he splattered Muzan across the pavement he just kept getting back up.

Shinobu had a few successors (all but one died, though), Rengoku was eager to have a pupil and Himejima had Genya. I think Uzui could make an ok teacher, but I'm not sure.
The other would be complete shit. Obanai, Muichirou and Sanemi literally don't give a fuck about raising a successor. Tomioka was expecting Tanjirou to replace him as water pillar, but he never bothered to mentor him or even check out on him. Maybe Mitsuri could be an alright teacher, but unless you're a girl, Obanai would kill you anyway.

I feel like 4/5 were bad, but mostly because the arc itself didn't focus on the demons at all and only felt like obstacles for Tanjirou/Nezuko to grow and to show off flower/mist pillar's powers. In contrast, UM6 were always the focus in their arc.

To be fair, we never saw retard octopus pot's backstory. Part of me thinks he's still alive, hiding in the shadows waiting for Muzan's orders to strike and capture Nezuko while the other demon hunters are away. But, the other theory is that he has been replaced as well by possibly Uzui's brother.

How well did Muzan even hid himself? Kokushibou is outright saying he hasn't seen Yoriichi in 60 years, but even if Muzan hid on outer space I would assume he would send all demons he ever had against Yoriichi to see if they could kill him, sending Kokushibou wasn't an option or Muzan was so scared he wanted to play the waiting game, by just leaving Yoriichi to die of old age?

Kokushibou is from the Sengoku period, all westerns were "barbarians".

The term used is nanban, "southern barbarians", what nips used to call westerners back when first interacting with them
