No. The appeal of this is collecting waifus and autistically grinding to make numbers get bigger. The main quest is not good on its own, especially the first story arc which S2 won't even get to the halfway point of. Check back around season 6 or 7 when we get to the better parts of the story.

Hell no, the S2 anime will cover like 8 chapters of the main story and 1 side story.
There are currently 130 main story chapters and I don't even know how fucking many sidestories.
None of these are in any way restrictive to new players though. The only downside is that they didn't remove the "ok lets do that but lets first beat these monsters" from the early chapters yet.
