There's nothing "contrarian" about preferring the superior original manga and 1999 anime adaptation. Just because zoom shit like Netflix and Crunchyroll don't offer it on their libraries does not make it worse.

The pacing is FAR superior than in 2011, which first skips and summarizes fucktons of character development and story exposition, then slows down to a complete snail's pace with weirdest fucking cliffhanger ends.

The art, and especially ANIMATION, is also miles above anything 2011's tween-"animated" CMYK-paletted Powerpoints offer.
