Is that why I feel sick after marathonning some shows? 30 is minimum for TV and I'm used to over 100 for games.

No, unless you also get sick from watching movies. 99% of them are presented in 24 frames per second as well.
And for good reason. While 48 or 60 fps can look awesome in short .webms and slow motion scenes, it just looks cheap if you watch an entire episode or movie this way. Look up "soap opera effect" on youtube, there are some really revealing demonstrations. A lot of them talk about video interpolation specifically, but it's not so different if the material shot in high frame rate to begin with.
I hope to god never. 60-100 is awesome for games. Terrible for television.
60fps looks weird, 30-50 is the sweet zone for anime imo
Anime is mostly low budget and aimed at the niche Otaku audience. Why would they do that?
