It's no different from Sakura's "senpai". After a while it makes you wanna strangle them yourself. Then again Tappei doesn't like Rem at all, and would rather the fans forget all about her.

That is during their arc and when the conflict ensues. Sakura does get jealous but she's nowhere near as sassy or murderous once dewormed/freed from the Grail's influence. Neither is Rem, who tries to tend to all of Subuaru's needs no matter how idiotic or cucking they are.
