I don't read this manga, but I am disappointed that Tomoko gave up her sad and lonely status for the cheap appeal of friends and fun.
What a sell-out.
It's like you've broken down the exact formula for everyone who hates on this manga - right down to not even actually reading it.
What a stacy
>I don't read this manga, but...
Trash manga for trash people, into the bin it goes.
That was her goal from the very beginning though.
>I dont read this manga but...
ok
HOLY SHIT. AFTER EIGHT YEARS OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT SHE'S NOT A NEET ANYMORE.
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS TRIPE? EVERYONE KNOWS YOU CAN'T GET FRIENDS OR IMPROVE YOUR OUTLOOK ON LIFE. IF YOU'RE A NEET YOU'RE A NEET FOREVER.
She was never a NEET.
NEET? what? Do you even know the definition user?
wait, did it end?
>NEET = Not in Education, Employment, and Training.
>Hikkimori = Shut-in
>NEET ≠ Hikkimori
Tomoko is currently in Education and she actually not a shut-in even before all those bitches falling for her.
From Becky to Stacy in 8 years. Buy her self-help manga now.
>Stacy
Tomoko is the Chad thought. Every stacy in her school want her.
Why
>it's not my fault I am not popular
So whose fault is it?
virgin pheromones
No but it's getting there, she's in her final year of high school now, she's even started seriously thinking about college and stuff.
If you're mad at Tomoko for getting better (though it was with some help, that girl who hugged her for one, the teacher on the other) you're just mad she's not *you* anymore
Mark
legitimately cannot tell if this post is sarcasm or not
Once you got ucchiD you never go back
Kinda remember my high school being like that.
Last year I had more people actually talking to me from nowhere.
>I don't read this manga
opinion discarded
>be female in /u/ manga
>drown in pussy
Easy just like that.
Have her tits gotten smaller?
NPCs got her.
She's not redpilled anymore.
She's a bit taller
People like to say that the school trip was the big turning point, but I'd argue that the big turning point was chapter 39. That's when Nemo got a seat next to Tomoko at the start of their 2nd year and casually starts talking to Tomoko, something that never happened before in the manga. That's almost two whole real life years before the school trip arc began, and before the Watamote anime had even started airing. Their interactions are few and far between from this point, but the character development is slow and very deliberate.
So nemo ruined everything? Interesting.
did everyone complaining even cared about this manga before the field trip?
I did not care before .
It's time to accept that Tomoko had lesbian delusions before you even saw the anime.
You mean “improved”, right? Dyslexia’s a bitch.
>/u/ manga
It's not a /u/ manga. There's one gay character and her obsession with Tomoko is treated like a joke.
Mostly the people who had only watched the anime and didn't like the character development or the fact that they could no longer self-insert as Tomoko.
Nemo saved Tomoko.
This manga is like the golden standard example on how animeonlys are a cancer.
Tomoko saved Nemo, if it wasn't for her she'd still be keeping her true self hidden.
Me too, then uni happened, haven't talked to anyone the whole first year, didn't help that i started skipping partly so i don't have to see them. Dropped this after the school trip arc.
Sincere question: why do you still come to these threads if you don't read the manga anymore?
why is Yea Forums full of fucking idiots
Cause i really did like it before, it was one of my favorites, i rarely even come to Yea Forums anymore and post even more rarely. Just happened to check it out today.
Worst manga I've ever read. The beginning was cringey as fuck so I dropped it, picked it up again because a friend convinced me she has improved herself. Results she didn't do shit, she's still cringe and pathetic to this day and she got an harem of lesbians for doing absolutely nothing and not changing at all, it all came from out of nowhere no character development involved, now I know my friend is a lesbotard that will eat any shit as long as it resembles Yuri.
Most Dissapointing manga of the decade
Can't wait for collegemote.
Yea Forumsiggers are fucking retarded
Yoshida is going to go to nurse school with her new bff Mako. After the graduation trip, of course.
How many high school series like this actually go on to college?
I want this to continue forever and eventually go through her college years, marriage, and motherhood.
I like to come up with an incredibly autistic blatantly false theory for every manga I read. The one I made up for Watamote is that Tomoko is actually an extremely powerful latent psyker. She wanders through life bending reality to fit with her warped perception of how things ought to be.
Now it makes sense, Ucchi was literally mind raped.
Are you a speedreader or just a shitposter? Either way you're a stupid faggot
If this ends with an ending as bad as "Nazo no Kanojo X", for example, will it be ruined?
hmm? is it complete?
This ain't a romance manga so no.
What happened there?
Not just Ucchi. ALL the girls in Watamote were mind fucked to some extent.
>Ucchi
In chapter 59 she ignores Tomo's attempt to socialize on a bus ride. During the school field trip she ditches her assigned group and tries to hang out with her friends. This hurts Tomoko and makes the autist wish Ucchi had an interest in her. If only the poor girl had known sleeping in the same room with Tomo is like going through the warp without a gellar field. She got a 4.6 rotogen blast of psychic power and it changed her entire sexual orientation.
>Hina
An outgoing girl who all throughout year one is shown as already having a fleshed out social life. During year two she makes the mistake of making casual chit-chat with Tomoko, during which she reveals a casual interest in anime, which might not have even been true, just an excuse to talk with a classmate. Tomo decides she likes Hina and wants to be friends. The resulting psychic brainwash makes her love of anime real and compels poor Hina to befriend Tomo despite having only one interest in common and conflicting personalities.
>Asuka
In chapter 135 she applies makeup to Tomoko. Our autist feels blessed by the opportunity to socialize with this mature, friendly, popular girl. She begins to idealize Asuka. This slowly transforms Asuka into the impossibly precocious, infinitely patient and kind, popular super goddess Tomoko believes her to be. This is why she doesn't judge Tomo on her weird kinks or hobbies. All the meanness has been scrubbed from her mind.
Give me more comparisons plz
JUST
Oh shit, Tomoko compelled Yuri to start reading Ecchi.
So the theory evolves
>Ecchi
It was already solved what she was reading an other series that became a yuri harem
Amazing
What you're feeling angry about in regards to Watamote, is itself presumptuous. If you think Tomoko was ever relatable, to call you misdirected would be a big understatement. She is a female, user, and not even ugly. Everyone orbiting around her is the natural order of things. And stop pretending you are not one of the self-inserts, I'll keep repeating this until you wake up.
so why does she still look like a creepy greasy schizoid?
Wait I stopped reading after the first chapter of the trip arc, it's now a lesbian harem series?!
I've seen this post many times
A lot of people must be surprised
Yuri's case is very complicated, as is Yoshida's. Aspects of their personalities were definitely overwritten by Tomo during the school field trip arc, but neither suffered a severe mutation like Ucchi did. Yuri and Yoshida definitely seem to be a bit more psychically deaf than the other girls. Maybe their skeptical and confrontational personalities led to them being more honest, and as a result, Tomoko's unconscious psychic powers didn't need to change much to bring them into conformity with her internal view of them.
we Haruhi now? Remember that Tomoko is a big fan
I'm fine with her having friends but I dropped it when it started to become some pseudoyuri bullshit.
what a fucking faggot holy shit
Because she is.
Was Tomoko also using her powers on Dicky-Chan?
TOMOKO PLEASES HER CLASSMATES FOR FRIENDS
don't worry soon those applications will start pouring in
Trips confirm
Ucchi is so dumb sometimes but I still want her to win.
Absolutely. Dicky-chan is under a similar spell as Kotomi but to a less severe degree. Both are perceived by Tomoko as dick-craving perverts after her little brother's dick, so their crushes were intensified to match Tomo's perception of them. In chapter 95, Sakaya changes Tomoko's perception of Dicky with her infamous, "just a pure hearted girl who wants to see Tomoki-kun's dick!" line. On the one hand, this prevented her from taking the express train to insanity like Kotomi did, but Ucchi's powers made poor Dicky permanently "pure" in a mental sense, so now she's stuck forever in a state of adolescent flustering, never able to mature and express her true feelings.
I think you mean they saved each other. Friendship is a two-way street.
Tomoko may be a normalfag now but I bet she still smells
>Tomoko may be a normalfag now but I bet she still smells
Wait till based "Tomoko baths regularly poster" shows up! That'll show ya!
Is that shit still ongoing? why? if the title is already a lie.
Uni was better for me from the start, but then the whole not everyone graduating at the same time hit, and a few other things as well.
Oh well.
Too bad she's almost dead last to win the Tomoko-bowl. She needs to physically rape and mindbreak Tomoko to have a chance at winning at this point.
Haven't catch up in a while, but I remember that up to the school trip it was pretty good, felt like some genuine character development for Tomoko. Then it got pretty gay.
The title was always a lie, it was her fault.
*ruins your manga*
She's gonna ruin something alright.
That was a great chapter.
soon
>Tomoko's leg
I can't believe it. The vixen has done it again.
first half of the manga was so depressing
What's with the shadow?
It represents her psychic powers turning everyone around her into a lesbian.
i believe very few manga have the level of character development that watamote had. Nico's work actually feels realistic with the pace he took to get here; probably because it was never his intention to develop Tomoko to this extent. I mean, I don't read a lot of slice of life, so I can't say for sure, but I think Watamote is up there in terms of character development over long periods of time.
she says it right there, it's not gay for a woman to like fondling breasts. Everyone, who had a decent mother, loves breasts because of breast-feeding.
Here's the thing, there are tons of stories about regular high school girls with regular friends doing regular stuff, and tons that are vastly more competently written than Watamote.
The appeal originally was that it was about a weirdo chick facing her own issues, which was interesting.
Now, it's just kind of generic, which makes it boring and uninteresting.
this
reminder that tomoko likes cock
and that's unlikely because....?
That voice. I cum every time.
How come I don't have a doting all-accepting Asuka mommy gf?
Dunno why but Ucchi's bullshit makes me laugh the hardest
Being alone and miserable was her fucking issue.
Tomoko’s kouhai is still steady with her boyfriend in another school
Yep, and it made her more interesting to read than her being a regular high school girl with a harem that the mentally deficient use to escape their shitty lives.
Which, again, there exists an absolute fuckton of, most of which is much better at being escapism than Watamote.
Mark
The real tragedy IS that the mangaka has WAY better works. ALL finished and this is the one he milks.
Tomoko’s entire issue was that she was a nice jerk in middle school with a healthy friendship with Yuu, who she likes to sexually harass, and a rivalry with Komi, who she utterly hates.
Then she’s separated with Yuu and goes on a downward spiral. Only by being forced to hang out with other girls (thanks to her teacher), who happen to be equally weird and thus accepting, that she relatively recovers.
It wasn't interesting, it was extremely repetitive. But it mostly sounds like you are upset your self-insert actually managed to grow, unlike you.
an artist doesn't really get to choose the work he can milk; it's dependent on the level of success. If those other works were better they would have greater success.
The dichotomy of Tomoko Kuroki is amazing.
On one hand I miss the bitter lonely mess that was early Tomoko but on the other hand I want her to be happy.
Nah, I haven't really kept up with this series since like 2012 because, like you said, it was repetitive.
My point is that I don't read manga or watch anime for the same reasons as you, so I'm not really interested in boring slice of life stuff that doesn't really do anything new or interesting, because, again, there's tons of that out there and Watamote isn't particularly well-made or well-written.
I do find the projection kind of funny though, but that's pretty typical on Yea Forums nowadays.
He ended Number Girl and Kuzu to Megane so fuck him.
>Nah, I haven't really kept up with this series since like 2012
Don't worry, I could tell, otherwise you would know most of her friends are fucking insane and Tomoko still acts like a dumb cunt.
What I find truly interesting though, is that you decided to blindly criticize a manga you haven't read in 7 years for changing when the reason you stopped reading was that it got too repetitive.
I stopped reading because it was obvious that the writer didn't really know where they wanted to take the story with the MC being a loser kid, hence why they kind of dropped that in favor of this stuff.
But please, enlighten me, what about this manga post-2012 makes it different from any other SoL manga about an awkward high school (or even middle school) girl?
>make gag manga about social anxiety
>replace the gag part with yuribaiting
tis a tragedy
>yfw Tomoko grows up to be a normal average woman with a husband and kids while user is still the bitter, angry, virgin loner who will never know normality.
The fact she spent an entire year and a half as a loser instead of others sol where its implied and the next chapter is her making friends. The reader gets to experience the pain of loneliness instead of the author telling us she was lonely before hand.
Thats what make watamote stick our from other sol.
So...the part that made the story interesting?
Which has been absent from the remainder of the series?
Yes user, what made it different and interesting was that there was actual meaningful conflict that people who weren't still in high school could actually relate to (though personally I started reading it when I was in 10th grade). A story about someone growing from a troubled existence to a comfortable one isn't really interesting when the latter makes up over 70% of the content. Hence why most shounen (and even most seinen) revolves around people dealing with fucked up situations and usually overcoming them (or sometimes not, which can also be interesting).
It'd be one thing if this was like Vinland Saga, which does have legitimate character growth, where the main character is actually making an effort to get their life together and even manages to legitimately become a better person only to be forced back into situations that force them to behave directly opposite to the new identity they're trying to mold.
If Vinland Saga was just another 80 chapters about Thorfinn being a farming peasant and living a largely uneventful life before dying at a ripe old age it'd also be uninteresting.

Why are you arguing with a retard that doesn't even read the manga.
You should not post them
This.
What a fucking inane comparison.
Man-child
This except unironically
I swear this circular argument has been getting hearing these past few months
I blame Asuka for offering Tomoko to grope her
what? how is that man-child at all? are you retarded? do you not understand where biological impulses come from?
Why is anime tomoko so much different from manga tomo looks wise?
Chubbier face.
Because they decided to not follow the manga's artstyle.
Minami is will be the follow up protagonist. We will follow her isolation as a result of her personality problems in college.
Manga art is the best
It would've been too hard to follow manga's idiosyncratic art, esp facial expressions.
nice trips bro. Here have an Ucchi
born to be cast in a JAV
Here's my theory
>she goes to college
>back to square one
I haven't read the manga in like 5 years though, so if she's already in college, forgive me.
Tomoko might get a girlfriend soon
You know what really hurts? The creator feeling the need to do this. Tomoko isn't meant to be a sex symbol because her personality is what won over the hearts of her fans. Seeing her like this spits in the faces to those of us who hung on for her lowest moments because that's not the person I rooted for all these years. It's like seeing come crappy fanfiction become canon.
What am I supposed to derive from this post
>I haven't read the manga but...
Based
The manga has about Tomoko growing for a while now, while referencing past experiences.
This is a reference when she chickened out of being a maid in the first year culture festival, which is going to be an upcoming arc
That's what a bully rival is supposed to do in a shojou manga, though.
After 2 years of hating Nemo, she finally caved in and excepted the power of friendship.
That we cannot expect anything anymore: the fact that Tomoko has a lesbian stalker and the class beauty offering herself to sexual harassment means we’re in weird territory now
>unique story descends into yuri/moeshit territory
What a shame
Did you even read the first book?
She TRIED living a NEET, hikikomori lifestyle during her first summer break. She tried that and immediately started having panic attacks and episodes of depression from it. She can't fun
Let's be real, user, this isn't growth, this is pandering.
Bleach had just ended around the time of the anime's production, and they changed the artstyle to discourage any comparison to the dying franchise.
It's growth. Fuck you and your bs.
That's a fair point. It could just be build up for the ultimate cuckening of realizing that college is nothing like highschool and all your highschool friends pretty much disappear
user...what do you think NEET means?
That didn’t work with Yuu. It did take a really long while due to Tomoko being cross on Yuu getting a BF and having sex but even now they are still close friends
Really it's bs? Do you honestly buy that crap about someone with 0 social experience suddenly becoming friends with some on the most popular girls in the school? This isn't a fucking Disney Channel film where the "unpopular" girl becomes popular by the end of the film especially when it's established there wasn't anyone willing to even be around her in class.
Well the difference is the schools don't really change dramatically until college. Unless that was college.
>yuri slice of life
Dropped this shit so hard after years of reading.
Tomoko never should have made a friend she didn’t hate
Coming up with a gender swapped otaku loner manga isn't all that creative. And for the 1000th time it's not yuri. That's just /u/ being delusional faggots
>most popular friends in school
Bro, it’s just one popular girl
The rest are either regular girls with their own cliques, an underclassman that’s popular with the guys but hated by the girls, an autist with only one friend, and a delinquent with her own delinquent friends
They're already anticipating that, and Tomoko has already recognized that she wants to grow into the sort of person who can rely on herself/be relied on by others.
>suddenly
>>suddenly
>>>suddenly
>>>>>suddenly
Don't read it? Don't talk about it, tripfaggot.
The "popular" girl also only has like, two close friends other than Tomoko.
You're fucking retarded if you actually think that
I kinda like the change. Not that I keep up, only lurk a thread now and then, but this is change done right. Too many stories change the MC in too short a time, making the suffering seem artificial and fake. Tomoko actually did suffer and we were along with her.
Understand why plenty depressed fags got turned off by the slow change from loneliness: the manga, but people do change with time and experience and this did it well.
There was Nemo. But you don't know that because you only pretend to have read this manga, faggot
>tomoko likes girls
>ucchi likes tomoko
Gezz I do not see any pattern here.
But.. that happend's in real life when you change in the short-term future. ..
how much have you changed since 2011 user?
nothing?
Fuuka is still presented as the sports ace so it can be seen she’s high up in the hierarchy
Yes suddenly. Don't give me that shit about the trip arc establishing relationships. There was 0 chemistry, 0 reason for the any of the characters to get back together, and worst of all every character out of nowhere became infatuated with her which is something out of a teenager's first story.
Shotacon Tomoko would have been way better than Gay Tomoko
I will treasure the OVA where she almost get a boyfriend forever.
>I'm 2011 Tomoko right now, but has still been this for 10 years and so on.
I've read every fucking chapter of both the main story and the spin off. i have all the volumes in both english and japanese as well as the show in blu ray and as much merch as I can find of her. But why do I tell you this, you're not going to believe me anyway.
>Tomoko likes girls
Go to bed /u/ and stop projecting your lesbian fantasies on Tomoko. She's either getting a boyfriend or no one at all.
S E V E N fucking years nigga .
7.
You weren't reading it.
Here is your chemistry bro.
Boy you sure like typing bullshit with confidence.
Tomoko’s love of dicks is all but retconned at this point. It’s jarring going back to the early chapters when she was still straight.
Post proof then. I suppose you can't prove that you're able to actually read them (in either language) but at least show you own them
Shut up, it was totally sudden. Almost two years in-story doesn't count either!
Sure but Asuka has only ever been seen consistently hanging out with and enjoying the company of Akane and Kayo.
She was never fully straight, don't lie. As soon as Yuu showed up she was practically niagara falls.
It was advised by the teacher secretly to have Yuri and Yoshida to watch over Tomoko. And Yuri was the one who invited Tomoko to join her and Mako for lunch. Eventually they become close friends but still went through a load of awkwardness to go on a first name basis
How do I get friends like the Ucchi Gang? How the fuck did Ucchi get friends like the Ucchi Gang?
The best part is this is maybe a few chapters after the point where the anime cuts off. It's literally like 3 or 4 chapters I think.
Boy do I hate you fuckers for making me going back to reread this crap just to remind myself how fucking unrealistic any of this is. There is no reason for any of these characters to talk to one another and this page illustrates it perfectly.
First, Tomoko had social experience in middle school, she just had immaturity problems when she got to highschool: she fucked up multiple times and learned, the very hard way, from her errors. Second, the only friend she has that could be considered a "popular girl" is Asuka and she's not even really a "popular girl": she's just a very social, pretty and open-minded girl (A good egg, in short) who wouldn't shun Tomoko since she doesn't have a bad bone in her (She couldn't even get mad at Minami when she indirectly made fun of her make up failure.). Third, the rest of her actual friends are misfits (Yuri, Yoshida and Mako) and not popular people (Minami even make fun of Mako for being a "Reformed Otaku"). In conclusion, she didn't won the school over in a disney channel film fashion, she just finally bonded with a couple of gals, most of the school doesn't know who the fuck this mojo girl is and doesn't give a fuck about her.
Hey, I really like this manga but I keep mixing up all the new girl characters. Does anyone have a chart of all the characters, their faces and aliases
Is it just me or was Yuri more expressive in previous volumes?
Back then, Yuri was pissed at Mako for picking Minami over her for the school trip. Making friends with the other girls was the last thing on her mind at the time.
if you feel like you're wasting your time, why dont you just stop?
What part of “advised by teacher” do you not understand? For Yuri there is no harm done and for Yoshida it’s just bad luck that she kept on bumping into Tomoko in the worst ways possible
It's kind of neat to see really clearly just how the art's changed/improved over the years. Nico might not be the most technically gifted artist around but I never quite realized just how sloppy the early stuff looks.
Let's not forget that Ogino called out Tomoko in public for not having any friends in class
Just read it. They are unique enough that it won’t be too difficult to remember their names
How can people read this shit? I watched the anime like 6 years ago and it was honestly so cringe I had to close my eyes in a number of occasions, I didn't drop it cause I only drop stuff that really makes me angry, like Eromanga Sensei.
Is it really unrealistic that people who don't know eachother that well behave kind of awkward around eachother, but soften up to eachother as they share experiences, even if it's forced by a third party? How do people become friends at all? Are people friends from the start, in your mind?
>picks the first fucking night of the trip when tension was through the roof
>over the course of the trip the loner group actually manages to bond in their own way
Jesus it's like you're trying to be deliberately wrong to prove a point.
She also almost outed Nemo’s career choice, which Tomoko picked up and snowballed into a mini-rivalry/friendship with Nemo.
i suppose it makes sense that a self-insert loser who never managed to make friends doesn't understand how people interact socially. I mean, I'm not the biggest social butterfly or anything, but really, if you don't understand people stop trying to pretend like you do.
You can stop samefagging at any moment from now
I mean like I'm caught up that I know who tomoki refers to when she says glasses girl, or delinquent, or cunnilingus dog ... but I really don't know their actual names. (yeah I know dog doesn't have a name but you get the idea, knowing actual names is hard enough but then she has backhanded nicknames for everything and its hard to keep track especially when tomoki isn't involved)
You’re one of the people that first-year Tomoko wanted to kill
I saved this image because the girl is cute. That is all.
Posting this to ensure that this remains a Fang-free thread.
Only the first one is me you paranoid faggot.
So try to reread it
Yuri and Tomoko had multiple chapters trying to refer to each other by their first names
Nemo intimidated Tomoko to only refer her as that nickname
Ucchi has a goddamn emoji as her face and is a lesbian stalker
I know what you mean. For example I watamote is a cool guy. Seh likes girls and doesn't afraid of anything.
Fuck you, nako poster.
And Tomoko learned her lesson. Your point?
Yeah, I guess I should probably reread from school trip. Thanks
No I get it, I just fucking hate it. I hate that I had to sacrifice my own personality just to have to keep up a facade of bonding with my coworkers when really I just want to stay home and shitpost or play video games. Seeing her so broken and normal makes me feel shitty about myself.
It's chapter 71 if you forgot.
I right clicked your comment and pressed 'translate to english' but nothing happened
Read from the start of second year. There's a lot of important moments with characters like Nemo, Komi and Imae senpai that take place before the trip.
My work experience is also awful but instead I like the current direction due to it’s positivity. To each to their own
Thanks
Oh crap yeah.thanks too
which was as previously mentioned, chapter 39.
Sounds like a snowflake.
Tomoko never improved herself becoming a better person the friends just came to her.
The whole things feels extremely unearned.
kay
This desu. Second year was peak Watamote. Hasn't been as good since then and I blame it mostly on the overused of Asuka as a main character
Maybe it feels unearned to you because the development and self improvement was natural and went with the flow rather than have entire arcs dedicated to them like other manga would?
She did earn it, stop speedreading.
Yeah, you can have too much of a good thing. Still, I like Asuka.
The authors are setting something up for her. Right now she clearly wants Tomoko’s attention and is getting bothered by Yuu, who she hasn’t met yet
WAKE ME UP
Shit, time to go.
She was better off as a minor character like Futaki
wake me up inside
Do you think the nip that reads these threads and translates them on the blog will post here one day? I hope so.
This
Tomoko has a unique ability to read the room, but at the same time has no filter.
Once she got past the hurdle of actually talking with people, she was able to connect with them easily, and catch them off guard with her unusual choices of conversation leaving a impression on them that grows into a strong connection.
The most direct example is how she get Akane and Nemo to talk to each other again.
The interesting part about this manga is how good is the author to catch the attention of NEETs and autistic people over the years, first she creates a character that NEETs can self insert in, even if she is a girl, pandering the aspect of an autistic, timid but trash highschool girl, then she slowly start to bait her audience with yuribait and kirarabait. Leaving only the worst kind of neets and autistic fucker in the end, milking them every penny.
Well look at how Akane went from never wanting to hang out with her to going to meet her as she got out. Tomoko's probably just different from a lot of other people so while it's off-putting at first once they get used to her it's obvious that they like being around her.
This
(CAN'T WAKE UP)
The Lunchroom incident was a turning point as far as Akane and Tomoko go.
Minami was also spending the first few weeks of year 3 Shittalking about Tomoko to Akane, and Akane is one to act out of spite.
I legitimately want to see Tomoko get a proper cute makeover at least for a chapter before dialing it back to something more reasonable like with her skirt.
I really, really want a proper Tomoko/Akane chapter of them having to hang out or interact significantly. Could be both funny and sweet.
WAKE ME UP INSIDE!
Maybe Futaki can play some vidya with Tomoko and turn this back to Yea Forums instead of /u/.
I don't want it to be sweet, I want it to be akward, like when you went out with a friend and a friend of that friend, but your friend had to bail and now you're stuck spending the rest of the day with somebody you don't have much in common and you don't really care about. But then something extremely fun/cringe would happen because its a fucking manga and it doesn't need to be 100% realistic.
Why is she relatable bros?
She likes a girl she'll never get. She's basically us
No i was referring to Minami
w3 can fix typos but won't bother when they copy goggled anons quick speed translations
what a bunch of petty people
Wait so is Watamote completely over?
Tomo-chan ended. Watamote is still going.
surprised this never got an anime
God shut the fuck up yuri fags, I hate that /u/ has taken over this manga
People keep proping this "development" up when the only thing that happened was the plot turning her into a human magnet out of nowhere. She still acts about the same, just with a group of friends to bounce off of. No meaningful development of her character.
And what would the reason for that success be? Is it the yuri harem that drew people to the show and gave it its popularity?
Watamote is no better than western cancer like adventure time with the bait and switch.
>No meaningful development of her character.

Literally in the previous chapter she points out a change in her mind set as a result of being around people more frequently. Drool drinking lobotomite
>she points out
Amazing. No MEANINGFUL development of her character. None especially before she met her group of friends, no explanation of why she's inexplicably popular all of a sudden.
>ad hominems in each post
Cope. Wouldn't expect any more out of yurifags
It's not my fault you're a retard.
It only got a fanart and fan conventions just this year but Tomoko’s VA is out studying in Britain
ok
When it was just Yuri and Yoshida it was amazing! It was the best part of this manga. Nemo and the stalker were fine, as they really had a legitimate reason to be interested in Tomoko. Mako and Akane were pushing it, but they are really only acquaintances, a friend of a friend. But we draw the line at the vixen. How is it possible to have a Stacy not just suddenly be interested in a loner, but at the same time she also wants to drag our protagonist to her chosen college, like they were already inseparable from each other?! This isn't just counter to the original established themes of the manga, it is undoubtedly impossible. This is a clear middle finger to the original target audience and simultaneously pandering to the new one. Fang and Tomoko still hating each other is the only believable development in the story, since it started to fall. Thanks to user's succubus meme, it's possible to completely disregard the face value implications of this outrageous development. If it wasn't for that, I would have stopped lurking these threads a long time ago, by now. Back in winter, when the Asuka focused themes peaked, I remember even skipping a chapter altogether. That's how aggravating it was, but thankfully it got better with the suspension arc. Let's wait and see where Nico is taking it next.
So wait is it ending or not?
There are anons holding out from the loner era and there are newfags convinced that this is a /u/ manga, here for the yuri bait. Strictly in numbers, the manga is doing better than ever. It would make no sense to end it anytime soon. However, in-universe, OP's pic is probably the 3rd ideal ending point. Currently it still makes sense to go on from a strictly story telling point of view, but after graduation is pushing it. But who knows, maybe Nico will reset the story at some point after graduation, avoiding the complete milking of Watamote.
Tomoko got out of neetdom whilst her brain and social position were still in a state of plasticity, hikikomori are the types who simply never got out fast enough or degenerated into that state after their education ended, then never managed to get back out.
Only one immediately coming to mind is the single volume k-on spinoff.
I hope not, I'm not sure what I'd do without Watamote. Currently this is Nico's only manga alive. If they handle which character to drop and which character to keep post-graduation well, potentially they could go on forever. If they keep Yuri, Nemo, Yoshida and Fang, then that's enough for me.
>No more sidetail and glasses
Remove the forced expression, fix the shirt and skirt and let some bangs back down, and the left side is cute.
This is actually kind of terrifying in an existential way considering the author + artist were both tomoko's irl.
Ucchi is basically /u/ incarnate.
When we will finally see Asuka weak point getting revealed?
These khornate trips don't lie
"88" belongs to a dark and might god, but not the one you're thinking of.
*mighty
We're already starting to see the cracks. Her insecurity might get worse once she actually sees how Tomoko acts around Yuu.
I don't agree and am glad most don't. Bitches here can bitch all they want but Asuka's here to stay.
She's a great character. Really only takes stopping the absurdist "I HATE LESBIANS" or if you're insistent that she's not a lesbian "I HATE BLAND CHARACTERS AND I REFUSE TO THINK SHE ISN'T BLAND" which is like, well, your incorrect opinion. Which again, I thank god, is in the minority.
It would be so much better if last half of manga was her coma dream, Then she would wake up and instantly suicide. The magnificent motivating book for all of us.
t. haven't read, but condemn
They go on a friends hangout, suddenly the rain purs, they have to stay in a love hotel and...
Please based author do this.
Asuka isn't confirmed gay you fucking moron
You just know Yuri listens to shit like Cryptopsy and Entombed
I'm sure if you grab someone's dick that isn't gay, either.
Cheers, user
Yoshida won't be going to university.
She might as well become a normie if she won't approve herself by becoming an aesthetic. I wanted her to become a hermit stoic celibate monk with scholarly, spiritual, physical and artistic passions.
The suspension arc was a plot device to improve yoshida's test scores and get her in.
You mean Tomoko's. I'm convinced that the twist will be that Tomoko does well enough to get into Aoyama and meets Imae senpai but Asuka fails the entrance exam for some reason. Same with Yuri. I think the only reason Tomoko is going to go to Aoyama is because Imae is there which is a shame since it would be better and more believable if she went to the same college as Nemo
filtered
Maybe Yoshida's mother sent the video so she'd get suspended and have to study.
the fang fears the pineapple
Does Yuu have bigger boobs than Asuka?
Maybe
The manga started out good because it was too realistic for all the neets and otaku that's been in her awkward shoes. That's what made the manga unique.
Then it just turned into some generic yuri harem shit. It's shit nowadays.
You don't even read the manga.
>even if she is a girl
And you know, not a NEET.
Thats basically kind of like my life (except for the yuri bit).
Makes sense. Her mother is probably a delinquent too and they aren't known to walk a straight path. Practically blackmailing her daughter to study is exactly what she would do in a situation like this. There seem to a lot more happening behind the scenes, than we are aware of. Maybe Tomoko's mom was in on it, too.
What's page is the left panel from?
Why is my penis hard?
ogino is so fucking sexy.
The realism of the early chapters is what appealed the most to me. The early victories felt earned because Tomoko had to put in a ton of effort just to earn what she did, and even then that precious win was often not what she set out to accomplish. Like when she overthought her class introduction and brought in the big posterboard, then went mute with anxiety and sat back down, but everyone thought it was funny enough to grant her a morsel of socialization.
Now she has all these low maintenance friendships with people who's personalities aren't even remotely compatible with hers. I don't know, I still like the manga, but the appeal for me has changed. Maybe it has something to do with the author and artist being Tomoko's themselves and running out of familiar material?
>if you want to find out what your girlfriend/wife will look like in the future, just look at their moms.
>but everyone thought it was funny enough to grant her a morsel of socialization.
No one except Nemo seemed to notice.
>The realism of the early chapters
Watamote was never realistic.
>low maintenance friendships
Well yeah, that's high school.
We get it, you like your dyke self-insert character. We heard your interpretation about Asuka multiple times by now, Asuka autist. But what if it won't turn out the way you want it to be? What will you do then? I'd hate to see you becoming an arsonist.
There are people self inserting as Asuka?
Why do you think /u/ likes her so much?
Worse, it's waifuists who hate any possibility of Tomoko in a dyke relationship because they're threatened by the thought of a fictional character stealing another fictional character from them. Don't let their anti-/u/ bitching fool you, they'd be just as pissed if Tomoko got a boyfriend.
I'm sure Nemo would be willing to try for Aoyama.
Please make it stop! You You can't possibly understand what Pineapple truly is to Fang.
>Then it just turned into some generic yuri harem shit.
It's not a yuri harem you dumb fucking faggot. There's one gay girl and another girl that could be gay but is probably just yuribait. Two isn't a harem.
Is it over?
>ywn be a male student in Ogino's class
>she will never realize you're feeling a bit starved of companionship
>she will never offer to NICE you with her tight, sporty, /fit/ body to help give you more confidence when dealing with girls
Yeah. Current Watamote isn't that bad as anons make it out to be, but it's clear we lost something precious and unique along the way. Maybe Nico will remember the loner themes from the early chapters and focus on Fang and Yuri. Tomoko's gone for good, but I'm hopeful we are not out of this completely.
A lover with a relationship built on hate-lust
>they'd be just as pissed if Tomoko got a boyfriend
>just as pissed
>compared to /u/
You really /u/ is the same board that uses het as a pejorative and can't stand the idea of men even existing in their manga? I'd imagine the "waifuists" would be annoyed at Tomoko getting a boyfriend since her being in a relationship makes her more of a normalfag. But the level of outrage on /u/ would orders of magnitude greater because some (not all, especially the Ucchi fags who are much more reserved) are stubbornly convinced this can only end with yuri. And don't kid yourself, /u/ is a serious problem in these threads, on par with the self-insert fags because they keep aggressively pushing the notion that Watamote is now strictly a yuri manga (it isn't) and belittling those that offer legitimate criticism to that view.
I'm sorry user, but that position is already taken.
No. You might have not realized this yet, but Fang NEEDS to shit-talk. It isn't just an obsession, it's involuntary . She can't help it. Pineapple is denying Fang the fulfillment of this need, when she probably doesn't even want to truly hurt anybody. She just wants to do something that's as natural to her as breathing. Fang is now holding back and she is suffering!
Sorry user, just because you're an actual fake bitch doesn't mean everyone has to be
Now that would be an episode.
Reminder that Fang is the savior of Watamote. She is the pinnacle of this manga!
>Current Watamote isn't that bad as anons make it out to be
I wouldn't even say it's most anons. Notice how all the retards flying off the handle are unable to construct a post longer than a single sentence? It's just the idiots who can't into nuance shitting up the thread as usual. That and the autists who are incapable of understanding why someone would have a different opinion than them
>it's clear we lost something precious and unique along the way. Maybe Nico will remember the loner themes from the early chapters and focus on Fang and Yuri.
I've seen anons ITT and in past threads claim that Tomoko is basically a combination of the author and the artist from high school. If this is true, then it is a reasonable possibility that the events depicted in the early chapters are name-swapped and exaggerated versions of things they experienced. This is what made those events feel so grounded, why the responses from the other cast members were so spot on. Now that Tomoko's become popular the author is struggling because he can no longer rely on his own experiences. He didn't know how to take this socially awkward character and depict her ascent realistically, but he gave it his best shot, and for what it's worth, I was satisfied with what I got,
Tomoko's retardation was never realistic, it was always exaggerated for comedic purposes.
There are aspects to her retardation which are fairly realistic and others that are comedic. It really depends on the scene. What I probably should've included in my post but didn't because my posts are too long already is that the realistic bits enhanced the comedic value of the exaggerated autism moments.
Very nice, user. I think your interpretation is spot on. I was a little angry, disappointed and sad when we started to lose this nuance we perceived, but I calmed down once I reached the same conclusion you speak of. If they really wrote based on past experiences at the start and now they are only theorizing about what it would be like to be popular, then it can't be helped. They are doing their best and don't get me wrong, it's really good, but it's not on the same level as when it was familiar territory. I actually started to sympathize with the authors for once.
Also, this is why I'm hopeful about the future of Watamote. If they have any remaining loner experiences they want to write out of themselves, they can do it with Yuri and Fang. It won't be about Tomoko, but it will probably have the same level of nuance that we have grown to expect from Nico.
Imagine having these two as your wife and daughter
That's way too many fur and craziness.
Ok I think I got it.
So... In this timeline I will never be mindbroken by ogino and she will never make me her squirt slave?
Well, see ya faggots. I'm changing timelines now.
user, wait. You'll miss out on witnessing Tomoko taking care of her needs!
Asuka will get even better with age then.
What do you think Asuka's brother is like?
Akane was in a really bad mood and starting fights with everyone and being cold and spiteful
Minami wasn't just talking shit about Tomoko and Nemo, she was trying to cheer Akane up since she was clearly angry at them, and Akane just snaps at her.
Akane is going to end up apologizing for it eventually.
I miss Anna and Rena.
It's more she realized everyone is all equally as weird as her, calmed her social anxieties and stopped fantasizing so much about ideal social situations.
She's gotten better at opening up to people thanks to Yuri
She's gotten better at forgiving people thanks to Yoshida
And she's gotten better at handling awkward situations thanks to Mako trying to kiss her in the bathroom.
When she alpha'd Fang away from Mako without even trying she straight up thought "well she's still being annoying" so I don't see it happening.
Someone should make a "the weak should fear the strong" image with Akane and Fang.
you don't know life

DO WE FUCKING NEED DAILY THREAD? CAN'T YURISHITTERS WAIT FOR NEW CHAPTER?

Of course we do
it's just a prank, bro
dude, no one is kissing anyone. Stop being so obessed
high maintenance wife and daughter will destroy your wallet. Better be jewish or have a very good job.
Are they even high-maintenance? That Asuka kid is such a good egg, she never struck me as that materialistic.
Now how have all the other characters grown due to Tomoko?
-Yuri learning to be more open thanks to Nemo and Tomoko.
- Ucchi had her true sexuality revealed to her.
- Kii understood that being older doesn't make you wiser and it was up to you to make your own growth.
- Akane got mind raped multiple times.
>that husband is Tomoki
I'm very pleased to see my edit getting used.
Oh sweet summer child
Nothing else the authors had done succeded so they are going to keep milking Tomoko
>WAY better works
I've read choku, lit girl and number girl. They're fun but not really on the same level as Watamote honestly.
I'll take the anime ending over the manga's unrealistic happy ending.
I wonder if Number Girl's title is an indication of one of Nico's musical tastes. If so they're good.
No, the original theme of the manga was that EVERYONE is a fucking loser and loner. The thing we are shown however is that everyone deals with it differently. The MC however never really understadns that everyone else has it as hard as her in their own way. But this also is how it is in real life. Even if you realize that other people also has it difficult, so what? That does not compare your change your problems at all.
In the MC's case she should just get her stick out of her ass. Even if she doesn't make any friends, the fact that she was always giving up and never real trying was her real problem.
If write sister's hadn't been cancelled, Katou might not have become such a central character.
Manga doesn't have an ending.
Can you edit it again so it says watamote instead of tomoko? It bothers my autism.
She's good daughter material, until you find out she's been preying on innocent mojyos.
>Tomoko
>Innocent
Yeah it bothered me too. That's how I know for certain it was mine because I made a stupid mistake. Watamote just didn't fit right
Which yuri do you like the most?
I love all Yuris except the gay genre
So I remember that the manga used to be about the experiences of Tanigawa (writer) when he was younger, I do wonder if this is stil true though, really hope that he also ended up getting friends and having a good time in high school like Tomoko is having now.
It's funny. I just assumed Yuri was made more autistic later on for the sake of conflict, but looking back at the Kyoto arc, you can really see it bleeding through.
She's just special
This. Tomoko had her gay marriage coming.
Yeah because no one has experienced extreme levels of social awkwardness in their lives before.
Wasn’t it mentioned here years ago that he got a girlfriend? Then again it might be a baseless rumor
You mean the artist?
The artist was a female that went full NEET after high school
I mean, he's probably nearly his 30s, so surely he got a gf at some time in his life.
Is the source your ass?
So they are not fucking like rabbits?
Choku is deeply underrated.
At the rate Watamote keeps degenerating, I'd say Choku will surpass it in quality soon.
The fellow assholes here in Yea Forums
I want to beat up twintails!
It's from a profile/small interview that was done on them a while back. The writer had some friends until his last year of high school but was still largely an introverted loner. The artist basically spent all her time in high school watching foreign cartoons and became a freeter and eventual hikki after high school.
The series isn't a 1:1 copy of fictionalized stories from their high school days, it's just (especially early on) likely drawing from a lot of the same anxieties and insecurities that they possessed when they were teenagers.
If he really is anything like Tomoko I wouldn't just assume that.
>namefag
>being autistic
checks out
That's a tripfag.
that's what i said
She's back in Japan now
Wait, I thought she left a month ago and would be out for a year?
source?
Just visitng?
It's okay. Not everyone can be the Übermensch
It's revenge for the dick pics.
>Y-you have to try before you say it's bad!!!
user's dick turned Tomoko gay well done everyone.
Someone being revolted by poop on coffee is reasonable, you judging Watamote as a bad manga based off of its premise alone, without even reading the manga, is not.
mangaka is a sellout, anybody that denies this are as retarted as the people who died in the fires of Kyoto Animation studio.
>retarded
mybad phoneposting at work and I use retarted to rustle the jimmies of grammarfags
What a story Mark
Ok , i just started learning japanese so translations might be off,
also last thread, i knew there was something wrong with Yuri being the ranger class
But why?
Nemo is destined for that neet puss.
Somehow this plan seems like it'll backfire.
Christ, /u/ really is mentally ill. Not all girls have to be shipped. Kuro and Nemo are just friends.
They don't have to not be shipped either.
>judging a series(coffee) based on the fact that it contains something you don't like(poop) is unreasonable
It is if the thing you dislike isn't even there in the first place.
She got couple of friends and started having fun with them instead of staying a perma-hikki. Just like the first user implied.
>aesthetic
you mean ascetic?
Tomoko deserves happiness.
>food analogy
Fuck off faggot
Yoshida is better at forgiving thanks to Tomoko
Spooky
Sorry but we already have a bunny girl.
>a Watamote thread has lasted for more than 2 days
That bunny never skips leg day.
What about an octopus girl?
And then counter attack
i.pximg.net
She looks like she fucks black guys.
So the girl was actually the bigger sperg.
She was probably more of a Yuri-type autist. Tomoko's spaghetti spilling style of social awkwardness was usually played up for laughs.
Is this worth the ride ? I kinda want to read it when it'll be finished.
>tfw no Nintendo switch game at max power
Why live?
>when it'll be finished.
It won't be finished anytime soon. You better start reading it now. If you can survive reading the first 40 chapters, then that's good.
The only reason I opened this thread was for this post, thanks user.
>Tomoko and Yuri go on to make a manga together while at college.
What’s the name of this manga? I see her posted all the time yet I still haven’t found it (not that I looked to hard)
Watamote
>posts more Asuka shit
We get it, you like this boring slut. You don't need to post every Asuka doujin you find on Twitter
Watamote is the shorthand name for it.
The full name is Watashi ga Motete Dōsunda
It's about a girl who starts of unpopular, but suddenly gets a full harem out of nowhere and then gets cocky and tries to steal the name Watamote from an older manga that was about to be cancelled anyway.
The plottwist comes when sharing the same name had the opposite effect because it brought attention to the older Watamote's new direction just as Year 2 was coming to an end. And everyone looking up "Kiss Him Not me" ended up finding Tomoko's manga instead, and given the choice between a Fujoshit het manga and a Yuri harem manga, Tomoko ended up on top.
Sauce?
Thanks user I looked up Watamote in mangadoom and am now reading a manga about a dude whose apartment is connected to the inside of a dungeon with sexy results it’s short but I like some of the art. I’ll read the manga right after
Exhen-
oh, right.
....oh.
Based ucchi.
Moko no Pico
Thank you so much!
>IF YOU'RE A NEET YOU'RE A NEET FOREVER.
This but unironically. You wind up in this position for a reason and it's rare for you to know the reason.
It's even more rare to have the opportunity to change it regardless.
Does Tomoko even know WHY she was on her way to NEETdom?
If not, she isn't safe.
God I remember 2011 and the first few chapters shaking up Yea Forums's emotions, followed by Chuunibyou collectively making us uneasy at our school years
Anyway, can't believe she's a normalfag now, good for her
>What’s the name of this manga? I'm a huge cocksucking newfaggot
ftfy
>spoonfeeding
asuka's entire schtick is that she wants to be treated like a friend and not something to be handled carefully or respectfully
she noticed how tomoko acts towards others and decided she would be the best bet for the type of friendship she longs for
I love you.
This makes my heart go doki doki.
I hope we get some kind of yuri end for someone at least.
>the appeal of the manga is Tomoko's autism and social anxiety
>author turns it upside down, writes half a dozen friends who like Tomoko unconditionally despite her not having changed and pours a can of homo lust on top
and people ask why Yea Forumsutists started hating it
you can tell the only ones okay with this """organic growth""" are bandwagoners who hopped in after being lured by the promise normalfag wish fulfilment
or even worse, they didn't read the early part in the first place
Tomoko deserves an old fat bald millonaire to support her NEET lifestyle.
Why is Tomoko hanging out with other people so often now?
She always used to say she hated her classmates and wanted them to die.
and she said she just wanted to not go to school and stay home with her games and internet all day.
Look at this page from as far back as the second volume. She says she's having fun being alone in almost every panel of this page.
This was all information we got directly from Tomoko. If you think the transition between old watamote and what we have now was an organic one, Then you must have thought Tomoko was lying to herself her entire first year.
Who ever heard of a high school girl lying to herself about what she wanted.
They're meant to be friends you dumb fucking faggot. Stop reading gay undertones into every interaction a female character has with another.
>Why is Tomoko hanging out with other people so often now?
Psychic powers.
>Asuka recast as a confident and sociable but well-meaning gyaru who does her best to help Tomoko get a boyfriend
There. I just fixed worst girl. Every other girl in this manga is fine though and doesn't need improving. Seriously how could Nico fuck up so bad on this character when they hit it out of the park with Yuri, Nemo, Yoshida and Komi, yes Komi.
It is a coping mechanism common among people with social anxiety. She tried to convince herself she hated everyone because that made it easier for her to deal with loneliness (“I’m alone because everyone sucks, not because I can’t interact with people”). Naturally, this coping mechanism falls apart when people like her manage to have a social life.
Neat idea. But Asuka can't be fixed now because she isn't even a character anymore, she's just yuribait
no, they would have more success if they better appealed to the lowest common denominator
she was neither a NEET or hikki
she was a high schooler and even went to high school in the early chapters
watch NHK if you want a true loser
I'm just mad that it stopped being entertaining when tomoko got "better"
What's people's stance on the anime?
One of my faves.
Honestly, I think it’s an outstanding adaptation of the first four volumes. I don’t see how it could have been done better, it’s both true to the source material and presented in a way that fits the format.
I love their friendship. Mako is the problem girl tamer. I want a chapter were she has to hang out with Yuri, Yoshida and Fang at the same time. I'm sure everythig will go well!
It's very good. Not great, but very good.
Why'd they cancel it bros?
>Omake where Katou has a full on breakdown during Tomoko's suspension and Mako is called in to help.
>Tomoko has formed meaningful relationships in eight years
>You haven't.
I think they accomplished what the set out to do with that one. Stretching out a 4 panel comic with that simple a premise any further would have been a bad idea.
Write sister's, however, ended way too soon.
>Approve herself
>aesthetic
ESL please.
I made one. Shit, it means that I'm on Komi-shit level.
>She always used to say she hated her classmates and wanted them to die.
Because it was her way of brushing off the fact she wasn't popular. Literally "I never wanted to hang out with you normalfags anyway" stuff that loners use to convince themselves that they're find not having any friends. Even though her entire goal was to be popular and there was just an entire arc where she was separated from her friends and came to realize that she actually misses them when they're not around.
Since it takes place in the same universe they should just incorporate her into the series. Not as a regular but have her as a character who can show up once every few volumes. Like Tomoko runs into her at a cafe or something and thinks she's really pretentious.
You know like Yuu.
You realize that user was blatantly being sarcastic right?
As much as I like the direction the manga has went, I would actually quite like the idea of Tomoko going to college and then having to go through being an ex-loner dealing with loneliness and becoming a sperg again. That or we follow fang's trials and tribulations in the adult world with her problematic personality and overcoming it to find friendship like Tomoko did in high school.
>Minami at first day in college
>tries to make friends with people sitting next to her on first day by bad mouthing some rando
>Gets mediocre reaction
>no one talks to her for a month
>begins crying in the middle of a lecture when she realizes how lonely she is
>no one cares or notices
Mako tard rangling chapter when?
I don't care so much how the manga went but I think it would be better if Tomoko had moments of just wanting to be alone because having to share her time every day with all the new "friends" is a pain in the ass.
>Begins crying in the middle of a lecture when she realizes how lonely she is
>People cares and notices. They tell her that depression is a made up Baka westerner myth and that she need to get the fuck out of the class room because she's disturbing the class.
>Fang realizes that she will never be happy let alone survive in a society that uses people like her like tissues.
>Her depression deepens and she drops school.
>Her parents disown her. She has to fend to herself now.
She had a chapter where she tried to do just that, but the delinquent squad and emoji mkII got to her.
I can clean up one of those, pick wisely
>cheap appeal of friends and fun
lmao, I hope you're 16 or something, because if you still think that way as an adult you've got no chance.
>Fang, now alone, begins talking to herself and develops schizophrenia
>she badmouths trees, bags of trash and other fictitious apparitions of her mind to an imaginary Mako
>she begins ranting in the middle of the park about how much of a loser Bench-kun is because he just lets people sit all over him
>a police man comes by and looks at the mangy girl with pity and asks her if she's ok.
frightened Fang runs way and trips over into a pubble, only to see Tomoko and all her friends, including mako, looking at her surprised
>she looks down into the puddle and see's her crying, dirty and disheveled reflection and begins weeping uncontrollably
>when she looks up Tomoko and the rest are gone
>unsure whether they had simply left or were never there at all, Fang sulkily walks back to the bridge under which she slept
>she returns only to find all her belongs to be gone, most likely removed by park management
>she begins to cry again and peers into the water only to see the same filthy girl crying once more
>She asks reflection why Mako won't talk to her anymore
>later that day a dead body is found down the river by a local police officer who looked as if he briefly knew the girl who died.
She apparently has a tendency to go off on her own during lunch sometimes.
Yuri-chan!
This is getting serious now.
DAmn
meant to quote you
I took it too far. Poe's law is just a thing you have to accept.
How can I stop being a hikki? I didn't have any teacher to push friends on me.
I thought the point of this manga was to let us laugh at how similar we are to her awkwardness.
Without it whats the point?
nice Yea Forums meme
See. Poe's law.
I can't tell if this is genuinely someone who completely missed the point of year one, or if their making fun of them, or if their trolling by repeating the same misconception that's been repeatedly corrected in this thread because whenever he complains about how Tomoko betrayed us he gets shot down.
I think you missed with the reply buddy. You probably meant to reply to
I love self-inserting as Asuka!
You're right. I'll reply to your post in good will this time.
If you don't have a pushy teacher you'll never escape the hikikomori lifestyle of shadowing someone's job on a whim, going to the seedy parts past sundown, going to crowded events to meet celebrities, Participating in large scale marathon events. and going out with your friends to drink coffee, engage in small talk and buy underwear.
The real, Hikikomori lifestyle.
I love self-inserting as Minami
I got it, Asuka is a former bully that drove some poor Tomoko lookalile to suicide, now she's repenting by being so nice to everyone and Tomoko especially.
As cool as that would be a more realistic circumstance is that Asuka has a dead sister you was like Tomoko
