you guys hyped this up as the "GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD" and it honestly was for most of the show
then we get to the climax- taiga and ryuji confess to each other, they even kiss for the first time. 10/10 moment in the show.
then taiga just FUCKING LEAVES FOR OVER A YEAR without even telling ryuji or anyone else. just fucking abandons everyone and sends them some 2deep4u image of a star BECAUSE GET IT, IM A STAR THAT'S TRYING TO SHINE IN THE NIGHT SKY I HOPE YOU GET THIS SYMBOLISM
im mad. fuck taiga. the whole ending felt super rushed. ryuji should have just ran off with ami.
but that awful fucking ending ruined it. she just abandons him for over a year and doesn't even keep in contact. totally ghosts him.
this show was a huge waste of time.

The star thing was a motif, didn't come out of nowhere. She left to go help her mom and fix her life in alignment with Ryuji after the scene with his own mom, doing this meant completely cutting connections until she was in the right place to return to them.
