Coincidence or tribute?

I mean, the similitudes are obvious.
Smile-man is based on the mexican character "El chapulin Colorado" created by Chespirito (Roberto Gómez Bolaños).
His character was a parody of the genre of superheroes who used to make mistakes and be injured by accident.

I just wonder if ONE is actually a real fan of Chespirito work or someone told him to include this parody in his manga.
Does anyone have a source or theory on the subject? I would like to read it.

Also, I like that smile-man is having more time on screen in the second season.
