Is it bad writing to have a villain magically know when someone is going to betray them or what everyone's plan is, even without being told of it?
Is it bad writing to have a villain magically know when someone is going to betray them or what everyone's plan is...
Probably, but only nerds care about bad writing
Mom is so hot
>Diavolus ex machina
Sometimes you need bad shit to happen to your characters or there's no story.
She herself once tried to escape, why is it so weird for her to know the ways they could try to escape?
Who cares, as long as it is entertaining
>o my fetus memories
what the fuck were they thinking
No problem if it's beliveable. Her backstory, her mom role and inteligence justify it.
It's called not being an autist and being able to deduce when someone is acting shifty from their actions or behavior. We even have entire fields of science about studying people's behaviors especially when they're trying to hide major secrets etc. It's not magic, though I suppose it may seem like so to people who can't into emotions or think they have superior poker face.
That's really the only thing that really bothered me about Promised Neverland other than the pacing feeling glacial in the middle.
>adult women can get outsmarted by 13 year old boys
bad writing? seems right to me
muh fetus memories was a bit weird though
Wish she would breastfeed me
Probably.
Based
this
What's actually bad writing is how villains tend to have convenient teleport abilities and semi-omniscience that tells them where everything and everyone is at all times.
nah, children are just easy to read
I found it believable enough. I mean, it's not like one should be surprised that your loyal watchdog isn't interested in becoming steak.
this whole show is weird
Frank Herbert gonna sue somebody!
These. What the fuck were they thinking?
>"My kid is stuck in a fire? Maybe I can still salvage his brain!"
>10 minutes later
>"O MY NUANCED TRAGIC VILLAIN BACKSTORY"
>mfw retards claimed this was a smart, well written show
And yes I say show, I can't speak for the manga, I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, but the show sucked ass and was overhyped garbage. Can't believe this shit is getting another season
It all depends on how "magically" you're talking about. The villain doesn't necessarily has to be told about it. They could discover that through the actions or hints other characters give them.
