Last time, Kanade took part in some more audition classes and may or may not have been one of the dancers to catch the attention of the people running it. While trying to find her bag afterwards she wound up running into Abby who decided to give her an individual lesson before the one Takimoto had scheduled the next day. They exhaustingly went through every step of her Diana but Kanade thought it was worth it, though she was a bit surprised and confused to see #117, Li Zixuan, show up to the studio to get a lesson from Abby who also told Kanade to tell Chloe to drop by the studio later. Meeting up with Chloe and Maho, Kanade relayed the message only to realize the truth: the promise that Abby had made to her had also been made to other girls as well. Chloe's one of them, presumably Zixuan is another and there are a few more as-yet-unknown girls that Abby's had her eye on. Devestated, Kanade was left brood over the fact she's not as special in her idol's eyes as she thought.
This time, the first round of the competition portion of the YAGP gets started.
I don't think Kanade's ever been lower than this. Don't even think she's cried since when she sprained her ankle. Well at least nothing we've seen anyway.
Seems like it's calling back to early in the series when Risa was there while Kanade was crying. She supported her then and through her costume is still supporting Kanade.
She's like ducklings who think the first thing they see is their mother: Kanade was the first to treat her as a friend despite the bullying and now her brain has been taken hostage and she can't get away from Kanade.
The French is a bit better than in the previous chapters pour ĂȘtre honnĂȘte.

Shame it'll be quite a while before we see more since there's some interesting looking stuff in the raws that come after this volume with her that I really want to read (and one chapter in general that just looks awesome) but given that the volumes are released about every six months it probably won't be until September or October before we get those translations.
We'll still be into YAGP stuff through probably volume 14 or so by the looks of it but it's understandable. This has been built up for the last six volumes so of course it needs to be treated as a big deal. The series is always strongest during the competitions anyway.

Is this Yuri or does the main female have any romantic interest?
Jacob Cruz
Romance might come up naturally down the line, depending on where the series wants to go, but they're very much balletsexual so far.
Caleb Turner
There's really been nothing romantic at all. The closest I can think of is one supporting character reacting in a way towards Akito that could maybe sort of be interpreted as her heart doki dokiing for a second but that's it.
The MC is just too focused on ballet to the exclusion of mostly everything else in her life that it's never really come up.

Love this, the kind of interaction that happens in real life.
Evan Ross
Well of course it's made awkward by the fact that they had just learned they were rivals for the same thing.

>Be confident. Sage advice, thanks.

Rooting for Garrel to win the Kanade bowl. There's Monaco in her wish list, I'm not sure she realized it's unaffordable for her parents even with a scholarship.
Jonathan Carter
Knowing Kanade it's basically "well Shouko got a scholarship there too so I can go with her if she goes there" and she has no idea about it or Monaco beyond that.
