Is Mom a well-written character?
Is Mom a well-written character?
yeah she is.
No, she's a cunt
I want to passionately kiss Emma. I want to kiss her until I'm out of breath and hold her close and lovingly. I want to marry her one day and have ten children with her. I want to build a life by her side and see her beautiful and bright smile every day for the rest of my life.
Go to bed, Norman
Impossible to take these characters seriously
I want him to cum inside of me.
What did Posuka mean by this?
literally never should've gotten an anime god damnit.
Flat as fuck.
Norman deserves better.
She's 13, how is that flat?
I picked up the manga at episode 10 because of that cliffhanger and the manga is better 100%. Anime does bring it justice.
Fuck off Barbara.
That face was retarded, as well as Isabella's later in the ep. Dunno what they were thinking
far left looks like Arisawa from bleach
semen demon
You'll see her backstory next episode.
Why can they never get these big moments right at all?
The anime version always looks weak as fuck in comparison.
No. She's literally the same as every other character in the anime: a calculating master of deductive reasoning who is distinguished only by her motive. Not necessarily a bad thing if you enjoy this kind of anime, but there's nothing special about any of the characters in this show.
Who, Emma? That is correct.
They've made a few of the bigger moments fall flat, but they've also messed up some of the more subtle moments, like pic related.
I didn't even notice it my first time reading it, but if you look closely, Norman is actually pointing to the spot they use the ropes to cross when he says you'll have to cross here.
The author tricks you into thinking he's talking about the bridge because he just mentioned it, but he is literally speaking when he says "here" and points to the quadrant they actually cross at.
That blew my mind on a repeat reading, and I was hoping the anime would have picked up on it, but now it's gonna feel like Norman was just incorrect about them having to escape through the bridge, rather than it feeling like he had this all planned out, which is actually what happened.
I agree with her philosophy with regards to kids/livestock. It's better to have livestock live at all instead of never being born or dying in the wild, and having them live fulfilling lives on top. Everyone dies, not everyone gets born and lives happily.
Of course if the chicken/cow was as smart as a human it would rebel so I understand the kids' perspective as well.
I kek'd so hard with this, because the idea of Ray's self-loathing at that point is fine at all, but what a shit tier execution.
Ray should've died in the fire.
She must be good in the bed
She is a virgin.
Are you dumb, or just an anime only?
Either way, you'll learn the truth next episode.
The question is whether you are a speedreader or not. You know she never fucked, right?
>why did you give birth to me
Oh wow, that doesn't bother me so much because most people won't even notice that, but it does completely change that scene when you look back on it knowing what happens. It's a small drop in a pool of bad choices though.
I feel like the people doing this anime don't have much respect for the manga. God knows what the fuck Goldy Pond will look like.
So you are a speedreader.
Are you really doing this, user?
Artificial insemination is a thing irl you know.
ray's dick probably touched the vagina on the way out so technically, you're a wrong retard
Oh my God. That looks worse than the 'Trump Card' moment.
This, but also Emma at the beginning and end of last episode. Typical Japanese "hurr his face is weird so he's crazy/she's smiling so she's evil" over the top bullshit.
God Norman is so fucking cute
I want to molest him
Get your dirty paws off my husband, you fucker.
Based
>tfw no ded bf to hallucinate about
I mean, that was in the manga though. It just looked much better.
You could argue it was too edgy for the situation,
but the Ray face just looked straight up stupid, whatever the context was.
Heavenly trips confirm that Norman is totally really dead for reals.
Don't worry, those lucky sevens will ensure he comes back a chad worth milking.
>this entire thread
>milking
He's been upgraded to slurping
I want to insult you but I don't even know what you're trying to say here. It's that bad.
Holy fuck why is Norman so handsome all of a sudden?
>all of a sudden
He was always cute, people were just blind.
Cute, yeah, but that's not cute, that's hot.
Cute boys become hot men. Most of the time.
Of course he was cute, but not handsome. And early manga Norman looked kind of janky.
is her child held hostage or something?
is that how they are going to humanize her?
You must be new to 4channel and the internet? Just call me a dumb faggot or some other similar fallacy.
>thinking the love interest wouldn't turn out to be sexy
The manga scene looks cringe.
These threads are too comfy for that and you know it.
Count me in as not getting your point, unless it's
>I was just pretending to be retarded
The quoted posts show no pattern
>manga is slowly taking over the thread
Based
If Kishimoto were writing this yes, that's probably how it would go.
Thank god that's not the case and Mama is an entire order of magnitude more interesting than this.
So we all can agree this is the comedy of the season right?
Reminder that this is a very lewd series.
When doesn't this happen?
I wish.
Both look like garbage.
The one at the end makes it look like Ray is finally marrying them after they've been slutting around for the whole manga.
>I now pronounce you slut and whore
The fact that she elicits a strong, specific emotion from you is kind of proof that she's a well written character.
Do Jap animators know of any other expression to show "craziness"? This is like a clown show.
Manga for comparison. A lot less overblown.
Another recent example. Unless there is some sort of cultural difference that I'm not aware of, and real Japanese people actually make this expression at any point in their lives...? It just takes me out of the story because it makes me feel like I'm watching some sort of inferior shitshow like Spiderman, The Hulk, The Avengers or some other piece of garbage based on western comics.
Manga for comparison.
>but there's nothing special about any of the characters in this show.
This.
Actually, there's nothing special about the show either. It's average and that's it. And, yes, I've read the manga and the differences between it and the anime are not as absurd as many here are trying to make it look like.
>Muh inner dialogues
Fuck off.
You can have your own opinion, but if you wanna say that removing the inner monologue from a series that's made up of about 40% inner monologue isn't a huge change that significantly effects the story telling, you're being a little unfair.
I wish Norman was my bf
ThisIt's not the worst adaption I've seen by a long shot, but they've made so many weird choices that drag it down.
It almost feels worse because they're not being held back by limited budget or pacing problems, just incompetence.
Sorry but we're happily married with three children.
Only three, future Emma?
It's never too late for more, user.
i don't get why having Phil be left behind is a bad thing, just escape without him who cares, you're that deep into the plan you can't really back out for 1 little shit that betrayed you by going with Mom anyways
she´s the best character
She needs to get blacked.
t. Sister Krone
I HATE Barbara
We know RAY
Ray a shit
t. Ray
Anime-only fag here.
I love mom intensely. And I find the fact that she can play 3D chess much more believable and she does so much more convincingly than the kids.
Reminder that ray x Emma is endgame with Norman becoming the antagonist.
Anime-Only fag here too. Yeah, but she is highly privileged. She got some cartel on with grandma. So she oppresses rest very efficiently.
shes better than all jojos combined
I know she's probably dead now, but I do wish she got to talk to Ray at least once after she had lost. Maybe say something like "Well played son"
Is this worth picking up?
no
Reminder that norman x Emma is endgame with Ray staying irrelevant.
Reminder that sonju x Musica is endgame with Emma becoming their celebratory feast
So far Mom seems so nonthreatening. All she has shown us is that she is capable of walking at a casual pace and look at a pocket watch. There is no reason to believe they couldn't just kill her.
what happened to Dad?
At least make it Ray, he has nothing to live for.
her characterization is back-loaded
but that's pretty typical for a villain
and the revelation that Ray is her biological son is a good one
turkey baster
does that explains why he knew about the shady business also, pretty cold heart to give him away
Yes. What happened to her after this arc?
Ray is best boy, you retards
Yup
She's a little too malicious looking sometimes considering she's not meant take pleasure in hurting the kids, but I guess that could just be part of the style.
As it is, she's basically just a tragic character who gave up any hope of living freely, and her only solace now is being able to love the kids for as long as she has them, even if she knows they're going to die, since to her there's no real alternative.
Eh, we already know from her backstory that she just gave up though, she was held back by her perceptions and thought that there was no way any kid could escape and keep living.
And, even if bad shit's happened, the kids have at least somewhat proven her wrong, even just by managing to escape after being faced with the sheer cliff, they've already gone beyond what she was capable of.
He knew about it because he had hyperthymesia/eidetic memory so mama couldn't hide the truth about the world from him.
