I wouldn't be surprised if this is how One Piece ends.

>series establishes that people can learn to use multiple powers
>only the MC and the main villain attempt to do so
>side characters never bother to learn despite constantly being in danger as much as the MC

And one of my favourites that only Arslan tried to show but didn't deliver fully:
>kill the "evil" ruler and free the slaves
>noone invades that territory and people create some sort of utopia in 3 days

Attached: e50.gif (480x360, 529K)

It sucks. It's part of that defining quality of bad fiction: everything outside the scene stops existing, including mountains of dead bodies. Like it's a video game and everything just despawns.

Or they're just the author's pet. I'm still mad about Kasane. The character most responsible for almost everything bad that happens gets away with it because the author clearly had the hots for him

the power of friendship is pretty ok in my book

technically kiyoh is an isekai mc but its not the focus of the series which is good.

>Everyone has a different power or the one power they have can be used in multiple ways

>The villans are somehow as boring if not worse

If character is actually values being a "hero" than it's justified.

Yea Forums tier thread

t. Texas Red

Such a shitty trope. I always find it weird how the MC is surrounded by girls and either has one male friend who quickly is thrust out of the spotlight after being spat on, or has no friend at all. One thing I learned from my high school days and from my older brother himself, a guy that hangs out more with girls than other guys is 99% probably gay.

DB in a nutshell

GX is such fucking trash and Judai goes from an annoying and genki gary stu to an annoying and moping gary stu while literally every other character is more interesting than him. Holy shit.

God, I hate that, and it's even worse if the villain has a awful personality.

I don't get why they include this one.

>main girl has comic relief pet companion that is there for no fucking purpose, lives in her hair or on her shoulder, probably something quirky and unusual like a squirrel, and there WILL be a sexual joke involving this squirrel like creature being under her clothes or conveniently covering her nipples

>the real One Piece was the nakama we made along the way

The ultimate jobber
What's worse

>no approaches her because she's too beautiful, only MC-kun ever tried that

Lmao no, she'd be fucking surrounded by orbiters asking if she wants to play dnd or something

>"(insert name) has no weakness"

JUST CALL THE FUCKING POLICE

>Villain is an absolute dick

>he fucks with MC and friends directly after this

Jotaro can stall it with time stop and knock it away forever

>villain thinks of foolproof plan
>heroes save the day due to one-time use mcguffin
>villain never tries the same strategy again

I'd love for once that the goofball friend has actually been improving himself the whole time and at the end of the series he/she actually has tons of friends and is a better person than the mc and everyone but the mc and his group knows it

I would love this were the mcs group gets pissed at hikn because he keeps letting the big bad get away because he still thinks he can be redeemed and they eventually just kill the mc because fuck him

What do you call it, when, in anime OPs they walk forwards with the "camera" facing down at them from about 45 degrees?

>Main guy and main girl anime
>Nice new guy attracts the main girl
>He is actually a rapist

Attached: 1552408927510.jpg (228x222, 10K)

I honestly hate the reverse of this trope, where the MC murders every two-bit villain they come across.

And its not even necessarily because of a moral issue, but because if you create villains for the sole purpose of them being killed in a couple chapters, then they're usually not even characters. They're just obstacles.

Jojo gets a pass from me, but thats largely because the focus of the villain of the week is on their crazy unique power, and not really them as characters.

>Nice new guy attract the main girl
>Nice new girl attract the main guy
>They "allied" and ended up with each other

Ten eppisodes or less later

>just before the final hit reaches the MC, it gets blocked/deflected
>it was the previous arc's villain's doing

>*pushes up glasses* interesting... that technique... it lets him attack and defend at the same time

Superfluous belts is a trope I love.

Women do it in real life, too. So do men to some degree. I feel like a different person when I shave.

>female interest is a bad cook

>her cooking is so bad it fucking KILLS people

I never understood the beer thing.

>falls in love with the rapist once she hears his totally tragic backstory

>MC is never ever actually challenged in any way and can obviously never lose, let alone die.

>It becomes a stronger technique out of nowhere.

What about fudanshis?

>Fuck XBC2

Every single bad guy in XBC2 got exactly what they deserved though.

And none of them really wanted to do what they were doing, the Torna crew were just lost souls caught in Malos's wake, and Malos didn't even want to end the world, he was simply compelled to.

Literally all of them showed that a Blade without a Driver had no place to belong, compare them to Nia who found a place with Rex and lived happily.

Is it wrong to feel sympathetic for femcels? I know women are the enemy, but they are also human.

>MC is nice. girls suck his dick

how often does this happen?

oh, one more thing:
>food must be approved of in order of character relevance

It took me fucking two decades to finally figure out what the fuck they mean by that. They're just trying to pass the conventional wisdom around that if you kill somebody, it becomes easier for you to kill someone the next time. Not just in terms of fear-factor, but also considering it as an option becomes higher and higher the easier it becomes. Fucking 20 years, just because they have to say it in the most ass-backwards retarded way possible.

>scientific explanation on martial art moves

They actually have the right idea given how useless actual Japanese police are.

>MC gets isekai'd
>Gets the weakest class/job/power/whatever
>2 chapters later
>"W-what a cheat ability! I've been in this world for 3 days but only I'm smart enough to figure out how to exploit this seemingly weak ability that has existed in the setting for thousands of years!"

Hasn't it already happened? Minus the stronger part, at least.

i distinctly remember an anime with a long blue haired kid who pulled this move and actually died.

The part that pisses me off is when literally COUNTLESS henchmen were killed to reach the point where the protagonists get a shot at the antagonist. Like some of them probably gave into fear and obeyed, or were simply following orders but they get slaughtered en masse while the asshole at the top that's responsible for all of it is allowed to have a moment of doubt on whether he should be killed or not.

Justice is just the act of mitigating the drawbacks of revenge IMO. Even if remorse is felt, there are some crimes that just cannot go unpunished. Most anime and manga that pull the "you're no better if you kill them" never even go remotely that far with it.

>Psychobitch female character who is always abusing the rest of the cast

>NEVER gets punished or faces any form of comeuppance in any way

Sorry Yea Forums, this trope will never fail to piss me off.

>MC pines for an naively optimistic resolution to a horrific conflict so that everyone gets to live in peace and happiness
>author suddenly realizes it's impossible based on the setting
>has to invent an asspull plot device to let the character have what they want

Not only do they love schrodinger's cat, but they without fail miss the point of the experiment and just cite it to seem deep.

>hero & villain team up to defeat an even greater villain
>they only agreed to a truce before they teamed up
>they remain a team even after defeating the bigger bad

Black Clover or Promised Neverland?

>Female MC asks MC to call her by her nickname

I can only think of that episode of PPG where a villain retries a previous diabolical plan. He was simply stopped in a different way.

>MC and FMC clearly have a crush on each other

is it me or is it easy to spot a fujo artist just by looking at how wide of a smile the male characters have?

>spinoff is way more interesting than the main series
>better characters and a better theme to base the story around
>spin off can literally never go anywhere and is destined to spin it's wheels doing nothing of actual importance so it doesn't intrude on the main series which is now baby shit by comparison
Not really a trope but a specific certain something made me realize how infuriating it really is.

The elf genocide thing.

But I guess you were talking about TPN.

Oh yeah, that shit happened in Seton Academy, it hurts everytime the awful bitch makes a move.

Why would anyone feel the need to justify an Elf genocide to begin with?

>happy, well earned ending
>just kidding fuck you, watch as a beloved character dies for really no reason, people dying makes the ending more realistic lolol

As much as I love TTGL the ending will never fail to piss me off, I remember KLK doing something similar but I don't give a fuck about KLK.

>Fanbase adores her
>Every thread is femdom faggots talking about how they want her to abuse them

Anime fans really are the worst sometimes.

>MC is trash because he doesn't have super special powers
>is told he's trash his whole life because he doesn't have anything that makes him god tier
>gets them and his powers are more special than anyone else's
>later in the series it's revealed that there are literally hundreds of cases of people who just said "fuck it" and made huge differences in the world without super special powers
>most super special powers barely do shit and someone that can fight with their fists and aim a gun at the same time can probably take down the majority of people with super special powers

Are you really justifying awful shit like this

>villian has time manipulation power

This. I loved TTGL but the ending pissed me off, it's an unnecessary downer ending that adds nothing.

And yet just saying that always gets people coming out and defending it.

10/10 thread. I hate pretty much all of those things. Also,
>MC's power is to nullify other peoples' powers

This is just a stealth thread for MHA haters lol

>so he can look better in comparison

>battle manga with weapons
>firearms are somehow vastly inferior to melee weapons
>thin/light blades are somehow more durable than bigger/heavier blades
>the setting is western-ish but there's the one token katana user
>there may or may not be a stereotypical Chinese guy who uses a bo staff & does kung fu

>villain has time powers
>doesn't use them to stop 9/11

It's probably been said a million times already, but the eternally beta, herbivore twink looking protagonist will never not be the absolute fucking worst.

>support characters comment on the fight between MC and the antagonist every other minute

Will you shut the fuck up. I don't want to hear backstories or scientific explanation for a certain move or justification for MC unorthodox fighting methods in the middle of the fight. why is that this is so prevalent in anime?

Japanese media is structured from the ground up to teach Japanese people how to act in their civilized life. It's why every single Japanese reality show has a little picture box of a "talent' in the corner, so you can see their reactions and learn how you should react to things. It's basically how they cultivate the sheep mentality. Other noticeable effects include:
>"Umai!" upon eating a new food
>"Umi da!" upon seeing the sea
>"Eh...chotto" upon trying to tell someone that they don't want to do the bullshit being forced on them
Etc.

When I used to practice judo, I often did okay against beefier opponents, but there was this one skinny kid in my class who always wrecked my shit.

>reading/watching rumiko trash
your entire fault

Could this also be the reason why so many anime in the past few years mention low birth rates? Seriously, it just comes off as desperate. Like "Hey, you, in front of the TV. Go start a family or something. Come on."

because manga is still images on a page
so they literally have to tell you what the fuck you're supposed to be seeing

Anything post-Inuyasha is trash. But not many people dislike Ranma, Urusei Yatsura, or Maison Ikkoku.

>Hollywood
>two characters have zero chemistry, bonus points if one is worthless and is only there for fanservice
>one minute they're smiling faintly at each other and another minute they're fucking like rabbits

>anime
>two characters have the best chemistry ever, you root for them from the start to end and always want to see them together
>they never kiss, they never fuck, they also get separated in the end and forced into tragic roles due to plot bullshit

Is it too much to ask for a medium where the romance is complete actually feels earned?

Attached: 1457759247501.jpg (429x377, 41K)

Sounds like Indian dramas are right up your alley.

No, it's probably just them trying to get that issue into their conscious thoughts to get them to reproduce. I don't think it's trying to cultivate their reactions. Some of it might legitimately be people who were cultivated by that idea and are spreading it around on their own because of their sheep-mentality.

Maybe read a fucking book instead of watching shit mediums and expecting anything decent

>this episode didn't make sense at all

I fell into that trap with Fate/Stay Night, but isntead of a LN it was 40 hours visual novel

>MC spends 80% with a female throughout series
>support casts believe they're a couple
>MC ends up with a different girl at the end

I've read that historically, sailors/pirates preferred swords to early firearms because one, early firearms were shit, and two, all the water made them even more unreliable.

i mean, the main hero is literally immune to bullets and haki exists. not to mention other devil fruit users who are literally immune to all physical attacks. works against swords too but think also that those guns are all primitive and think to how long swords were being used in real world wars. far past the initial creation of guns, let me tell you.

Right I'd take the premise if the tech age in One piece was still in the pirate era or anything resembling that, but that's not true at all since there are several cyborgs in the series who can shoot laser beams and franky has fucking machine guns in his hands

There's actually something I've become acutely aware of in anime, and after this point, it legitimately ruins it for me. You've probably noticed it to, but you shouldn't read this spoiler below if you don't want anime ruined for you.
If they discuss the plan before they enact it, 100% without fail, the enemy will reveal will have a hidden answer/perfect counter for it
If they don't discuss the plan before they enact it, it will 100% work the first try and then the hero will get to elaborate on how it was set up and worked.

That's not really an Yea Forums exclusive, it's true for pretty much all media. Not much tension if you get in universe spoilers

>nice poor girl loses
>tsundere rich girl wins

I'm glad I read Liar Game before reading your spoiler.

Because Japs are still obsessed with castes.

>anime introduces way to many side characters in the beginning, repeatedly has to put in boring, un-creative fights with them just to remind you that they exist.

>If they discuss the plan before they enact it, 100% without fail, the enemy will reveal will have a hidden answer/perfect counter for it
So that's why half the people died in Avengers: Infinity War.

I won't not be mad for them using the ln design instead of the superior manga design in Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

>character is built up to have a large and tragic backstory and mc has to fix her because she's just that emotionally frail
>Her backstory is that she's just fucking bullied because they wrote some shit on her desk or on the chalkboard

Attached: how to make some tap water.png (363x317, 178K)

You don't understand the nuance of public shaming in Japan. Learn Japanese or read the LN to understand it.

>school anime
>students working part-time is against school policy
>they break this rule anyway
>it's usually one of the students who should be enforcing that rule (student council, classroom attendant, disciplinary council, etc.)
Are there any countries besides Japan that forbids teenagers from being employed? I know some of them have laws that prevent them from working night shifts.

I was really surprised reading the LN for Shinmai that the Anime was closer to source than the manga. The manga was much more serious and less silly, I assumed the LN was the same

bull complex from losing the war.

So much this for DBS. GT was fucking honest though, they didn't even give screentime to everyone else other than the 10 sec party and the ending montage.

>19th century London
>alternate history with magic, vampires, steampunk etc.
>one of the characters is a samurai in a fucking kimono
I swear there's an unwritten rule that every anime, manga, or game from Japan must have at least one token piece of Jap culture. A samurai, a katana, onigiri. Otherwise Japs wouldn't be able to "relate" to it.

He was trying to bang the older sister girl though

Noone thought Harry/Hermione was a thing. Even way back when I was reading fanfics while waiting for the 6th book, the Ron/Hermione ship was called "We believe in trees" because of how obvious it was.

Honestly the only reason anyone hates Rob is because they took away almost every single good moment he has in the movies and gave them to Harry or Hermione. Ron got dicked over so hard it's insane.

Harry/Luna was the best ship anyway

No. No-one should read Medaka Box

Some VNs have pretty based sunoharas.

Is the Book of Mormon a doujin or side story?

In Burgerland if you legitimately had zero friends and was ostracized by everyone it usually meant you were exceptionally insufferable to be around.

>Noone thought Harry/Hermione was a thing.
Not to dispute the obviousness of the actual development, but plenty of people certainly did think Harry was going to bang Hermione. Those people are called "shippers" and they're insane, or at least victim to some sort of mass hysteria. They become divorced from the actual work and just see it for they want to see based on their fanart and fanfics. See also: Naruto and Sakura.

Pic related is the only anime character I can think of that actually had to deal with the drawbacks of being a skinny manlet, to the point that he's incapable of doing one of his best moves correctly because he doesn't even lift.

Man Xam'd was weird.

Positioning and preparation are almost everything, but nips are both unfree and too lazy to think about their battles beyond "I'll have this irrelevant character describe the way MC is hitting flavor of the week for three pages" while drawing lots of straight lines around characters but no actual technique

This shit drives me crazy to no end. Along with:
>Show tries to portray anything in a shade of grey higher than your typical shounen jump Justicefag
>Character has ANYTHING bad happen to them
>IMMEDIATELY screaming fits of ptsd and lots of conversations about how "she'll never go back to normal society now"
I dropped Magical Girl SpecOps pretty fast over this.

They can be cool but they're generally harder to write since guns are inherently meant to be used from a distance and behind cover in battle.

Chad getting a cool power-up in Hueco Mundo only to immediately job in the next episode was what made me drop Bleach.

>claims to be a show about working
>it's actually a show about coworkers goofing off on their free time

thank god this is not shingeki no kyojin

I mean it's pretty basic storytelling. If you're going to go through all the trouble of telling the viewers what's going to happen, what's the point in showing it to them after? It's redundant and would be boring

>I was that friend

>villains of the day never think of simply going to another city where there are no precure/sailor moon/ash and pikachu
Team Rocket dont even have to go to another city, literally just stay in the same city and wait until Ash is gone. Some of their plans were alright

Something really similar happened in Saya no Uta. The neighbor or some dude goes insane after seeing eldritch shit and hallucinates, killing his wife and daughter and rapes Saya. It’s all really sudden.

>kill the bad guy who made hundreds if not thousands die in pain and agony
>he had no moral excuse, did everything for personal gain
>it's still considered an evil deed

Wouldn't Rohan be able to just say 'Return to Owner' using Heavens Door

besides, the whole 'no weakness!' is just Kira being arrogant

> his new role is to be a manlet

Well not MC but Rogue is hot as hell.

The absolute surest sign of a doomed plan is when the explanation comes with an animated what-if scenario of it working.

In defense of MhA, there have been cases of powers that are effectively several powers at once (e.g. fire/ice boy).

>special attack is an elaborate wrestling move
I love that shit

This asshole

Ultra late, but yeah. They mention him losing it but he puts the pieces together and finds her in the end in kind of a vague bittersweet ending. Did he have to suffer identity death or get maimed into geriatrics? No. Even though he arranged the kidnapping and neglect and fucking everything. He was the mastermind and muscle behind every bad decision and she was basically more of an accomplice. Every time Kasane thought about backing out, he'd grab her by the hair and remind her how worthless she was without him. Why does he get a pass for all this? Well, the author can't stop drawing him shirtless in the omake, so I'd say it's pretty obvious.

The entire world is having multiple quirks fusing, it probably won't be recognizable in 100 years, fire and ice won't be your super power, just a aspect of it.

This. Never fall for fate shit.

Remove that last line and he basically describing Naruto.

Didn't notice this before
fuck you user

Screw you, Mx0 was fun as hell.

>comic relief pet companion that can only say a gibberish word or its own name
>has to chime in when someone else says something important, or the rest of the mc group get their individual cheerleader lines
thanks for contributing nothing and only taking away from the animators' and producers' spare time

Nips are materialistic fucks that care only of appearances and class.

Black Clover

gundam wing is probably the only series that's ever done this and not pissed me off. the Tallgeese was abandoned as a mobile suit design because it subjected the pilot to lethal G force. the five engineers who constructed it together and who couldn't communicate with each other in the space colonies due to War each solved that issue independently and built the gundams alone for Project Meteor.

fuck, gw could have been so good. I love it but it's like loving your ugly child.

>MC and his crew summoned to another world to be hero.
>MC is weak so king and the crew abandon him.
>His crew gets jealous of MC's harem entourage and starts acting like one dimensional villains
>Royality supports the crew to falsely accuse MC
>Hero crew and royality act forcefully retarded so that we hate them and love MC
>MC leaves
>When he returns, he and everyone in his entourage are stronger then other summoned heroes
>Public opinion changes.
>Royal Princess gets added to MC harem
>MC defeats god
I just summed up the template for Sheild Hero, Arifureta and a dozen other upcoming light novel adaptations, which are all the same shit.

Real life too, its huge in europe

>otome game

Fujos just play BL, you're belittling femcels. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but ... accuracy.

That goes hand in hand with the "invincible weapon technological leap" trope.
The only way you can tone down the invincible weapon is for the setting to lose the technology

>blood relative kidnaps your son to raise him differently
>kill him and then yourself
>non-related super evil villain kills all your friends and many innocents
>leave him to fight another day

3d women do this!!

This is the worst shit there is. No surprise that the best shows tend to be the ones that actually have the full story in them.

Literally all of Fukumoto manga, especially Kaiji.

Hitler did nothing wrong.

projecting

>almighty female MC and underdog male MC duel
>he wins because ACKSHUALLY he had the most broken powers all along!
>she instantly falls for him and becomes useless from that point onwards

>Joke character is constantly mocked and scolded by his peers
>Gets mortally wounded by main villain
>Gets turned into superhuman with badass armor
>Main villain dies
>Can't go back to human
>Marries his crush anyway
>Becomes the kind of superhero he always admired
>His superhero name is actually the name of the series
>It was named after him all along
Keyman was such a comfy read

This pissed me off in Kekaishi, thought he character who died didn't really do much in the series

Did you read it in japanese while reading the author's posts on 2ch explaining the plot?

>”I was just holding back. Here’s my FULL power!”
Utter shit

Anime/manga MCs are always teens or people in their early 20s.
Post good series with middle aged or old protagonists.
>Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa
>Keyman: The Hand Of Judgement
>Pluto

>Three power-ups later
>"Actually, that wasn't my real full power, NOW is when the fun begins!"

God i fucking hate anime

A specific and obnoxious one

>hero is retard black haired boring ass designed teenager at a magical academy
>is the worst in class
>due to contrivance he has to fight the fiery gurls who is at top of class
>wins by some stupid power called "zero dark ultra" or whatever the fuck which means his power level looks like its 0 but its because his power works in a weird way

Ah fuck nvmnd

i am sick of the power level circle jerk in Shonen manga

>entire premise is predicated upon a guy living in a place with 5 other girls who all have some sort of inner ear infection that causes them to repeatedly fall on top of him with their tits in his face
>entire romance element is "he did one mundane favor for me once" or "actually we played together as kids", so that the main character doesnt need any redeeming features of show any effort

>some sort of inner ear infection

Symphogear?

In FotNS Ken doesn't really care they're Hitler. He only brutally kills the big bad ones for being assholes, when it comes to the cool opponents he ends up respecting them because of their strenght, but having to defeat the because they stood in his way.
Or simply fighting because that's what he does

I'm watching Doremi right now and Aiko mentions that all the time.

Wild west anime when

Attached: vlcsnap-2018-12-12-16h02m55s495.png (1920x824, 1.32M)

This isn't even anime but this same thing with "akchually, tomato is a fruit"

>character catches a common cold
>in a matter of seconds develops high fever, faints, and becomes a blabbering mess
Are nips really weak to illnesses or something? What's the deal here?

>Absolutely perfect high school girl is loved by literally everyone and everything.
>No one talks to her or tries to be her friend, anyone who goes up to her gets shouted at by all surrounding people for attempting to communicate with her.

And

>High school students are divided on a tier list
>Students in a lower tier kiss the asses of the students in a higher tier
>The S+++ students are a group of 3-6 rich kids, one of which is the sympathetic love interest of the MC. These S+++ kids hold more power than teachers. They're probably all on the student council.
>MC is some kind of F- tier student who is way too confident, good looking, athletically capable and socially skilled to be in such a low tier. His friends are all ugly losers. MC is the only person who ignores the tier list system and interacts with who ever he wants.
>The only people who matter to the story are F- tiers, A tiers and S+++ tiers. Average students never do anything but bark at the MC
>Teachers and parents seem to be unaware of all this crap or might even be OK with it.

And

>Isekai

It's okay, user. I, too, sometimes can't deal with these people.

cross ange does this

How many years has it been since the battle academy harem genre crashed?

>The series focuses on a war
>There's a young woman who's an advocate for peace
>The series goes out of her way to establish that she can protect herself
>she never actually uses these skills in an active combat situation
>winds up as a damsel in distress and/or living plot device

Trigun

>mc has worst power

>she instantly falls for him and becomes useless from that point onwards
battle harems arent dependent on the mc winning, the girls would still like him

user, why did you have that webm? Just in case this thread pops up at some point?

>souther literally is killed at the end of his arc

I'm going to argue that Misaka mikoto did the last of those pretty well.

KAIOKEN X1000000

Bonus points if they literally say they were at 100%, and then later power up even more. I will never forgive Togoro's 100% of 100%.

Now that my powerlevel is *enemy powerlevel*+1 my punches have effect again.
Dragonball has the worst power escalation in any shonen ever. The power to punch the last arcs villain into another galaxy becomes a pat on the chest against the next one every fucking time. I'm still mad at cell just shrugging of kurin's destructo disk that was the most powerful ability the arc before.

>>The series focuses on a war
>>There's a young woman who's an advocate for peace
>>The series goes out of her way to establish that she
True ending to this:
>The series goes out of the way to establish that she is right despite her naive ideas being more likely to cause everyone's death

Tell me when something that matters gives me a yikes.

>"Willpower" is more important for staying alive
than blood/air/unbroken bones or even water or food.

Bleach last arc in a nutshell

>what the fuck did you have read?
What did he mean by this?

Should have let it take you desu user. You could have woken up with broken super powers and a harem slobbering all over you.

The point of Oreigaru is that 8man is wrong

ITT: I fucking hate anime
Maybe get a new hobbie

>why do people hate the garbage I like?

at least I actually enjoy it instead of being a miserable fuck with a misplaced sense of elitism

>I'm PROUD of my shit taste!
It's a phase, you'll grow out of it. The more defensive you get now the more you'll cringe looking back.

better than being proud of complaining about anime/manga instead of consuming it

>being underage

>Asta from Black Clover
>Toma from Index/Railgun.
Well but in Asta's case it's a little bit less retarded because his physical strength is due to him training his muscles like a maniac since he was a brat and physical strength without magic or training in general is seen as low human activity in the world of BC.
His anti magic is or was only as good as how he could use it in combination with his natural physical strength (now he has something like a devil trigher from dmc).
Toma on the other hand is just a dude with a broken ability and that's pretty mich it. Why he is able to beat everyone with some punches is kinda strange and maybe there is an answer to it but I'm not really fan of Index or Railgun and haven't watched it in a while and never read the LN because I'm not a fan of that stuff. It's either Manga/Comics or real books.
The same goes for BC... even if watchinh generic battle shonen shows from time to time is a nice change from all those pseudo deep and forced edgy series.
Just turn of your brain and enjoy.

That doesn't describe Black clover at all, Asta literally got the anti magic sword in the first chapter.

We're in?

Toma is the typical boring harem protag and Asta the typical idiot but super strong "talk no jutsu" battle shonen mc.
Both are shit but I don't watch their shows for them but all the nice side characters and cute waifus.

>I'm going to use this story for metaphors and discuss it in an analytical context, but also be ignorant about the cast and get mad when I'm corrected on it
You're a bullshit factory who is consistently tiresome to listen to and people try to piss you off intentionally because it's the only way they can stand socialising with you

>Toma is the typical boring harem protag
He isn't, he is a sociopath who actively enjoys beating up other people. He actually despaired at the sight of a perfect world without suffering where he couldn't punch people anymore.

He is even worse than a generic harem mc, he is an edgelord
Good that I don't watch this shit anymore

>>MC is some kind of F- tier student who is way too confident, good looking, athletically capable and socially skilled to be in such a low tier. His friends are all ugly losers. MC is the only person who ignores the tier list system and interacts with who ever he wants.
It turns out he's actually ranked G-tier, and by some way of misunderstanding he's led to believe the tier list runs from S to A to B etc all the way down to G, and he's been given the 'privilege' of having his public rank artificially boosted to save the school's face from the shame of an uncommonly low-tier student, when in reality it runs from G to S to A etc
