You thought it was dope but couldn't help but wish it had line work more akin to Michio Mihara's work on Kemonozume.

You thought it was amazing, but you are going to say it is overrated bullshit to fit in

Checked.
I adored the ending. It was not at all what I was expecting.

Kino soundtrack

Loved it.
Not gonna rewatch but I loved every minute of it.

Nah. I genuinely think it's one of the best animes of the decade.

the plural of anime is anime

one of the best OST to come out in this decade

>animes

Literally and unironically the greatest anime ever made. Fucking fight me Yea Forums contrarians.

It's a meme newfags

Last few episodes went too hamfist on the metaphors, otherwise amazing show.

Wenge was the best character with the best theme. Fight me Pecofags

He's also the biggest jobber in the series, but his introducion and the entire first episode were pure kino.

Ending sucked ass.
Smile threw the match to Peco, and all the time he spent trying to be more serious in competition was wasted.

Might be a jobber but he probably had the most satisfying ending of them all. Also, his charcter arc about him getting humbled and learning to tone down his arrogance was relatable as fuck. Not to mention the Christmas episode.

You thought it had amazing art, a deep message and you smiled throughout it and shed some tears. You want to show it to a girl you like.

Literally this.
Peco took advantage of his one friend’s weakness. He knew that Smile knows how much Ping Pong means to him, and accepted the impure win to restore his confidence in himself.
Pure garbage.

It's as good as Eva (maybe better depending on taste) but it will never be as influential as Eva was.

It's amazing, and one of the few OSTs I still keep with me.

>thinks smile threw the match
Fucking speed watchers.

All that buildup with Butterfly Joe’s story and not being able to take advantage of his friends injury, and then for Smile to do the same thing was utterly moronic.

I have to rewatch to remember what I think of it

cap 8
>okaeri, hero..
KINO

Did you actually watch the show? There's no way you could and come to the conclusion that smile took advantage of peco's knee. Literally the whole thing was that Peco was having too much fun to care.

Even if Peco was better than Smile (He wasn’t). All Smile had to do to win was take advantage of Peco’s knee injury. Not to mention how many times it was said that Smile has zero drive to win.

>and all the time he spent trying to be more serious in competition was wasted.
But the whole message at the end was the ultimate goal was to have fun playing the game.

>Literally the whole thing was that Peco was having too much fun to care.
Yeah until he loses and almost commits suicide again.
Smile is to good of a friend to let that happen, so he threw the match.

>implying he would've if he lost.
The whole point of a character arc is for a character to progress.
Even if he did lose, he had learned by the end that ping pong is more than just a competition, so he would have been fine.

Too bad Peco only has fun when he is winning, and Smile only has fun when he throws games to Peco to let him think he’s a bteer player.

A masterpiece, Peco is fucking g.
Animation perfection isn't everything.

>wasted
Yet he seemed very happy at the end

Attached: 1532572107616.png (1920x1080, 1.68M)

Yes
The two main characters have story arcs that end exactly where they began.
Pure shit

Great show but I hate the ending. Peko a shit.

They were happy at the beginning as well. Might as well nothing has changed.

>peco is at a brick wall in life
>smile cannot feel anything and only exists as a shell
Did we watch the same anime?

Beginning:
Peco thinks he’s hot shit and the best Ping Pong player around
Smile only enjoys himself when he jobs to Peco

Ending:
Peco thinks he’s hot shit and the best Ping Pong player around
Smile only enjoys himself when he jobs to Peco

masterpieces are masterpieces not for being wholly original, but for being executed well
and Ping-Pong the animation was executed very well

It's out right stated in the show that Smile stopped smiling because his hero wasn't good enough for him to go all out against. How dumb do you have to be to not understand what a smiling Simile in second place against his hero means.
