Reigen's moment was great so I wouldn't want to lose it, but I do think Teru deserves the credit for that whole battle. Reigen wouldn't have been able to walk up to Shimazaki and pummel him if Teru hadn't effectively crippled him first.

I still think Teru got a great amount of spotlight for what he done. Reigen wouldn't have been able to pummel him if it wasn't for Teru planning and initialising the team-attack

Mob is relatively short though. By the end of the season a good 75% of the story will be adapted.

Why was Teru surprised that Mob was an esper if he knew about claw and had been on the run from them?

pretty sure he was more surprised that mob was so strong rather than that he was an esper at all

Teru calls Mob a natural, likely in reference to the fact that there are artificial espers. Teru probably only met Claw's small fries.

I thought so too at first, but then when he talks about Claw he tells Mob they are super strong. Too strong for Mob even.

Which might be a(nother) reason why he saw himself as the main character. He thought he was the chosen one with natural born abilities compared to anyone else with artificial powers.

And to be fair, at that point Teru didn't have a chance against some top tier Scars. He had a rough time against Sakurai, someone who isn't that great in the grand scheme of things.

The odds of that happening are really low but if it did that would make me happy for the rest of this year

Question: there isn't enough manga content to make a full cour of material for season 3. With that in mind, which of these options would work the best if a season 3 is announced?

He had an outright excellent showing all things considered. One thing to remember is that he's not exactly a Vegeta character that is only somewhat behind Goku/Mob and therefore works as the jobber, he's honestly rather middle of the road.

In the first season his only wins were bullying Ritsu and struggling a bit against a spamming scrub before beating him with a clever application of barriers. He struggled tremendously against Terada and later just got smacked around by Sakurai. It's fairly safe to place him at the Scar level, perhaps slightly above them by the time of the current arc.

He's super talented, learning powers like Megaman and acquiring the super rare defense/offense skill that got cut from the adaptation, and the fact that as a middleschooler he can compete wth Scar shows his potential to easily reach Super 5 level once he's done growing up, but he shone in the fight against Shimazaki for his leadership skills in the team effort against Blind Fuckboi. All in all top notch shonenshit.

I'll shut up about powerlevel crap now.
