LN/WN Rem has a lot more personality overall. It's more emphasized that Rem's kind of unhinged. But she also pays more attention, is more assertive and inquisitive, and Subaru's interactions with her are generally stronger.

One of her last scenes is her pretending that she's dying to pressure Subaru into telling her that he loves her. They almost kiss after that, but the catfag interrupts them.

Rem is on the other hand is one of the last survivors of the Oni village along with her sister Ram, who she goes through hell and high water for even going so far as to giving up her freedom to Roswaal to give her sister mana treatment after she indirectly pulled a Cain and Abel on Ram's horn forever crippling her sister feeling a sense of relief that she get crippled and is now forever atoning for what she felt during that time. Rem's rolemodels are Crusch, Wilhelm/Theresia and Dias Lepunzo Elemanso Oplane Fatsbalm VI. Rem enjoys an assortment of things from reading to violence to pranking, as she is inherently mischievous or has become moreso as it progressed to her faking her own death to trick Subaru into revealing his true feelings to her at one point. She has such a warped world view that she believes that faking her death to get her lover to confess is fair game. She has an inferiority complex that stems from the Oni village incident as well as Ram being a prodigy of her race. She acts as sort of a mother figure to Beatrice before the incident, and enjoys teasing, shittalking and bullying her lover Subaru. She hates mayonnaise after a certain event which caused trauma. She has killed the MC once, and tortured him once as she has a vendetta towards cultists as well as a strong sense of duty as a guard maid.

She's also interesting on a meta level by being such a driving character she had changed the entire story.
