The point is a tail can't possiblly come out from where you think. It would bifurcate the vertebra and that doesn't make sense. A tail has to be a continuation of the end of the vertebra, the tailbone, which is located much lower. That's why the original designer for the game put Grea's tail there and it makes sense.
