I finished Maho just now. Wow, that second to last episode was hard to watch. Hugtto spoilers here I like that the Maho's got a happy ending, but Emiru and Lulu never seeing each other again sits even worse with me after seeing the ending to Maho. I like that the last episode of Maho was fun shenanigans. I also like that the original group of bad guys got their own happy ending. I don't know about that, it felt more to me like Lulu thought that she would see Emiru again. There was no real reason for Lulu to think that she would be built in the good timeline. Either that or Lulu secretly met up with that worlds Traum to arrange for herself to be built. Crystal and Tri weren't movies, Toei will never embarrass itself on the big screen, and both of them suffered from unfortunate production conditions.
Crystal was delayed multiple times due to some disagreements with Naoko Takeuchi. Which ended with them adapting the manga more faithfully than ever, including the story's shortcomings. It was also unlucky to be produced in 2014 during the schedule breakdown where literally all Toei shows looked like crap. Crystal 3 actually looked good, and Crystal 4 will be 2 movies designed by the character designer of the original Sailor Moon Kazuko Tadano.
As for Tri, it was gonna be a series but was unexpected circumstances lead to FujiTV requesting a new Dragon Ball series instead (Super), the production got sidelined, the story was nothing short of disaster (the main complaint), released as OVAs, and was completely outsourced to Typhoon Graphics. Digimon Adventure is also escaping this hell with the upcoming movie produced by the original's producer Hiromi Seki, and designed by the original's character designer Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, and animated at Toei.
Ojamajo Doremi's upcoming movie is screaming blessed production as well. Not only they got the original's director Junichi Sato, as well as the incredible character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi who also did the original's, but they also got the original's writer so we don't have to worry about the plot.
