Basically this. Too many "slow life" that suddenly became about saving the world because MC was the special snowflake. At least in Nonbiri Nouka he's still at the village doing village things and most "drama" is only the outside coming in, adapting and then more village things.
It's a difficult genre to execute, though I consider it nice. By definition, it'll never be good (since it's slow and people want PLOT and PROGRESSION), but it will be at least enjoyable as a breather.

I don't think I have what it takes to write an isekai. I tried to come up with a side character and the first thing I thought about is how to piss anyone off who reads what I'm writing. There was also a long gap between when I read that bit of the webnovel and the same stretch of the manga, so maybe I just lost a lot of tolerance of isekai-isms in between.

Yeah the pace is really slow, after 100 chapters she still hasn't even reached her teenage years yet. Two things I will give the author credit for though are that the world isn't supposed to be biased on some novel or game the MC enjoyed in their previous life and the reason she has memories of her past life is well explained in the story and isn't just god bringing her soul over to be the OP hero or a mysterious force reincarnating her. Her parents both come from unique bloodlines (Daddy is basically fae blood and mommy is witch blood) that when combined resulted in her having supernaturally good senses and memory which sort of "unlocked" her past lives memories.
