SIT DOWN
Finally, someone let me out of this cage
I liked it but I think ConRevo was better
>samurai flamenco was 5 years ago
What the fuck
Samurai Flamenco is pretty boring. What it tries to do is just not executed well. The first episodes had witty writing and fun character dynamics, after the "twist" it just starts regurgitating tokusatsu tropes played straight, with no interesting spin on them and a cast of botched characters. I wanted to kill myself during the Flamengers arc.
Concrete Revolutio did it better.
Yes.
Concrete revolutio’s best parts were in S1 it flounders around in S2 and ends really weak
Season 1 was probably stronger overall and the final arc was a bit rushed, but it wasn't bad by any means.
Rewatching it now for the first time since 2014
Show is still a fucking masterpiece, so far at least since I'm only on episode 10, so I haven't gotten to the worst of it the flamengers arc.
Still, even with full knowledge and 5 years to sink in, Guillotine Gorilla still hits like a 150 mph truck. It's no wonder Masayoshi and Goto can only stand there in paralyzing shock when it happens.
Anyway its pretty interesting watching with the lense of the final reveal that the world is changing to grant Masayoshi's wishes, like how Guillotine Gorilla and King Torture appears after when Goto tells him that he doesn't view him as a real superhero, just a freak. Kinda implying that the stakes were low before because Masayoshi thought he was a superhero when apprehending jaywalkers and stuff, but being told he wasn't by Goto prompts him to up the ante to a much higher level. Also when King Torture says that Samurai Flanenco appearing is what promted him to become a real supervillain, could also be seen as a hint maybe.
Also I've been reading the live watch threads after every episode, funny seeing everyone saying Goto's gf is dead get called delusional and seeing people give up on the idea that the kid from the beginning is important in any way. Also how people once in a while come close to predicting what well happen but no one ever quite gets it. Though generally all predictions on how the series will go are way fucking off.
Too bad about all the shitposting after GG, and then all the
>rape
shitposting though.
Mangler Mandrill.
Bankruptcy Bonobo
Link to the threads?
I'm out right now but I bookmarked them as I read. If the thread is still up in the next 4 hours or so I'll post them.
Banana Split
You can actually interpret it as them both being delusional and communicating themselves through fantasies that they tell each other.
Murder Ape
>Concrete Revolutio did it better.
They did completely different things though. CR was great though despite how aimless and poorly paced it was, Raito and Jiro were best boys.
Mutilating Monkey
>aimless
So, you didn't get it?
It was all over the place and poor placed though, people needed a fucking wiki just to get whats happening.
>It was all over the place
No it wasn't.
>and poor placed though
S2 would have been better with 1 or 2 more episodes, but it wasn't a huge deal.
>people needed a fucking wiki just to get whats happening.
To get the references and the parallels with real history maybe, not to follow the story unless you weren't paying attention.
It seems like if you were watching it weekly with Yea Forums it might be enjoyable but I watched it years later and I dropped it once it went full retard.
Manhunter Mandrill
In all honesty, its at VERY LEAST the sleeper show of the 2010s. I enjoyed it way more then I did KLK.

use yuki.la for the images, though it's still mostly only thumbnails but at least you know what people are talking about.

It's nice to see the first reaction. So simple but applies to every episode after.
Noice. I wanted to revisit that magical time too.
Guillotine Gorilla
Wrong.
Is this show worth watching? I've seen it described as a trainwreck and as a symphogear fan I have no aversions to trainwrecks as long as they're fun
Yes it's great.
Just watch the first seven episodes.
Then decide.
Underrated
Mincing Mammal
Sit down, and follow .
>(people really liked epsiode 6)
Because it was really well done and not half-baked. That's why episode 7 hits you like a truck
I wish we could have a last stream
But we'll probably be 3 in the room.
;_;

>21 Nov 2013
Man it feels like it was just yesterday that I was freaking out in that thread
Definitely. Was even better on a rewatch. Also, episode 10 best episode.
>that ED
It wasn't bad but there were definitely better anime in the entire decade.
>as a symphogear fan
Why are you asking if you already have no standards?
Yes. If you're not feeling it... wait for episode 7.
SamFlam is unironically kino.
Goddamn reading these threads after epsiode 10 is fucking torture, I forgot how many dedicated shitposting went on thanks to IRC back then. Fucking every thread gets derailed bad by this fucking rape retard.
Shit this is some real fucking autism.
Time never stops.
Unfortunately.
No, it's aimless like every Aikawa show ever.
Not as bad as E7AO, but that was a special breed of bad.
>What it tries to do is just not executed well... after the "twist" it just starts regurgitating tokusatsu tropes played straight, with no interesting spin on them and a cast of botched characters.
Sorry, user, your statement breaks down here. That's exactly what it tries to do, and so it therefore does it well. And it's amazing.
>kino
Easy to spot the sub 80 IQ idiots these days. Fuck off from this board
It's up there at the very least.
Slayer Ape
>Unfortunately
It's good precisely because it takes all the ideas that his other works couldn't deliver on, for various reasons (taking off from someone else's source material being one), and finally does them justice in a work that has objectives, planning and attention to details so precise and meticulous that they border on autism.
I didn't explain myself. By "What it tries to do" I meant the overall idea and message of the show. I don't think the way it chose to get there was interesting in any way.

Wasitrape-kun was a blight but, after so much time, I remember his antics fondly.
I wonder what happened to him.
Put me in the screencap :3
