Finished watching Episode of Sabo dubbed. Thought dump incoming; anyone who doesn't give a shit and is just gonna call me a dubfag just ignore this shit.

There's no actual reson why in OP someone with less upper body strength couldn't be the best. I watched a movie recently about a tennis coach and his daughter. This shit gets grim cause the coach puts all his effort into the daughter knowing she will most likely not succeed as a pro. But he pushes her anyway cause thats all he knows and got nothing else to offer. It's both extremely selfish and extremely loving. And for a girl that feels the burden of father's expectations but has the wrong sex to fullfill them she breaks and cracks from overwhelming negative emotions. It might be that the father had more ambition to make her strong then she did to become stronger. In the movie she leaves the father to live with her divorced mother, but if there was nowhere to go to she'd probably consider suicide. The movie and Zoro's arc very analogical like in almost every way.

But what scares me is how cold Kuina's dad was after the suicide. In the movie there was a boy, the coaches favorite that he probably would like to train more then his daughter. After she leaves, the coach is left eith the boy and the atmosphere clears as he focuses on his training which he really wanted to do all along.
Could it be that Kuina's dad was aware of having those feelings of Kuina being an obstacle to his favorite student? If so could he have wanted her to die and was relieved when she did?

You know, in the movie he said similar shit. Pudding's flashback about bullying was ok. Sanji's flashback was just straight up bad. It's not a problem that has to do with the themes presented, but with the presentation of those themes.
