If digital is often referred to as soulless, 3D is lifeless.

Satone is my wife.

Capable of being just as good, if not better in some cases, than non-3D. Of course, it only beats the worst and some mediocre shows, but what it lacks in art style, it more than makes up for in storytelling. A lot of shows just go for flashy shit with terrible stories, while 3D does the opposite.

I would like it if Satone gets the happy ending she deserves there.

I'm fine with it if it means the minimum visual standard gets raised. I hate seeing off-model faces.

VR Anime soon.

Houseki no Kuni was done well, extremely well even, but the setting helps sell it enormously.

There's nothing else from japan that was above trash tier and 3D.

I cant imagine Kemono Friends without the janky CG. If anything it adds to the comfy factor. Definitely would be big disappointed if they announced a new hand draw season or something

HnK and KemoFriends are the only ones to do it right

3D mechs always suck and look out of place all the time in every show

Maybe someday someone will find a good shader.

Houseki was janky and "it looks bad on purpose" does not mean its good

i don't like it as much but its probably going to become the norm (because its cheaper i assume)

is not cheaper, but is more efficient and allow for easier outsourcing.

It is cheaper, and every studio use it when they didn't managed to properly animate something and are out of time and interest to fix it.

I've seen better models in 3D hentai games than most 3D anime. If they try I imagine 3D can be good, but it'll be next to impossible to perfectly emulate 2D.

>When you're so flat you become 2D inside 3D based on 2D

The only show that's done cgi so far is still only Etotama.

>it looks bad on purpose
HNK looks good though
