1 Writer out of 4 left after episode 6, they pretty much planned everything out though proofenby the huge amount of forshadowing on everything.
People generally agree that only the last 3 episodes got worse, yet people still blame the "writer change", like episode 7-10 and all the forshadowing doesn't exist.

I think said writer was mostly responsible for the dialog, the switch was already planned from the beginning, because they got into the more dramatic story-heavy parts of the show, and the one they got before was better at developing characters and the yuri aspects.

Yeah, i remember that interview where Oshiyama admitted to break some "yuri rules" aftaer Ayana left with the boy Papikas in episode 7 and best boy in episode 9, who had the get downsized to avoid any hetero tension.

The ending is most likely the result of time constrains (like the animation) and the team being better in setting up suble story hints then writing an actual conclusion.
They still had some moments though, nothing that destroyed the whole thing for me.

While it was planned some interviews suggest it did get a bit hectic later on.
I recall seeing somewhere that Oshiyama ended up doing a huge amount of the keyframes for the last episode himself due to staff issues.

For me there are some great scenes in the couple of last episodes. Yayakas transformation is an absolute highlight, Salt shooting his evil twin, young Salt realizing that sex makes babies and freeing the girls, Nyu being useless, M.U.S.C.L.E.S. All good shit.

My favourite part was that little detail with the weird amount of Teddy bears in Mimis room.
Some user pointed out it's most likely 1 Baer for each failed test partner Mimi had and it made perfect sence, likeit's not just a fun theory but after spending a lot of tiem analysing such details with Yea Forums while it was airing i was almost certain that's the intention behind it.
Most fun i ever had looking for details and with Yea Forums in general, good times.
