Most competetitive TCG players consider cheating, rulesharking and other shitty things part of the game, so they don't think it's a bad thing to do. For them, it's just another mechanic of the game.

Patrick Hoban, a well know lying and cheating yugioh player even wrote a book about that, that most competitive yugioh player follows like a bible.

Yugioh players are the worst kind of players I have encountered. They are cheaters, arrogants and scamming assholes. They prey like vultures for the trading binders of kids and feel no remose but pride when they scam children rare cards out of their hands.

I'm not there are not magic or pokemon players like that, but they are a minority where in yugioh, finding a decent player it's like seeing an unicorn

For the most part, your typical Magic player (especially Legacy and Vintage players) point out valuable cards to new/younger players in their binder. It's like as soon as you hit Modern and up that every person becomes an actual J word.
