I will agree I felt that the ending villain was very cliche. It's that trope in anime where if you kill the villain you're some how as bad as the villain. That trope harms my western sensibilities.

Anthropomorphism is extremely common throughout the stories of every culture on earth across all of history right down to disney shit and it's not like this movie got sexually suggestive at any point either, which is more than can be said for the previously mentioned disney shit.
