I mean you can discuss the history and the life of the painter but as to the content of the actual painting there's not much at all to say. You can talk about how it looks, whether the brushstrokes are soft, what it represents, and that's it.

If you want to prove me wrong, write as much as you can about that painting you posted. It's not gonna be a lot.

I still miss the fine art threads. Comfy and without the disadvantages of being posted on a dead board.

Let’s talk about Wolfgang Paalen. He was a painter and extremely Yea Forums. Highly recommend the collection of his essays “Form and Sense.”

I love the work of Gerome. He was right in despising the Impressionist movement. It opened the floodgates to increased distance between the art, the method & the viewer.
