Post your bookshelves

Post your bookshelves and rate other anons.

Here’s mine, 1 of 3. They’re not as organised as before, I had them vaguely separated by modern American / British / Classic / Foreign etc. at one point.

>no organization or order
>can barely make out the titles
>starts a thread with this

Are you looking to get patted on the head or do you wish to truly show nice shelves?

I can make out the text when you zoom up? Also there’s the remnants of organisation left if you actually look at it.

So I guess that’s a bad rating then. :P

You’ve undoubtedly not read more than half of those books, theirs spines are perfect.

This is what a shelf looks like that is actually read and enjoyed.

(Orange is collected Italian Futurist writings I’ve self-bound and the beige is The Doctrine of Fascism)

I’d say I have read probably over half of them. Quite a lot I took off my mother when she moved house. I don’t tend to bend the spines badly though, I like to read a book in one sitting when I have the time so I don’t have to bend the spines to remember pages etc.

Also get more books man that’s depressing.

Where do you guys get hardcover books? 'Im poor and need lifehacks.

Here’s a good lifehack

Develop a skill that earns money faggot

OP here. I prefer paperbacks as I take trains a lot but I very rarely buy books first hand. Oxfam bookstores in particular are absolutely great.

>no gun visible
git gud

Why keep things I have no intention of rereading?

So chicks will think I’m smart when they see my bookshelves.

Getting them in my flat without the use of ether and duct tape and had proved fruitless but even as they breathe their final breath I want them to think “at least I died at the hands of a patrician”.

Fuckin' hell just go fuck yourself you insipid piece of shit. Oh, and your collection looks like it belongs to a faggot.

A fucking mess/10
Pic somehow related, I don't feel like taking pictures because I'm reading.
>theirs spines are perfect
>if you didn't use your books as sandpaper it means that you didn't read them
Fuck off.

Scary angle out of ten, looks like the last thing you’ll see before you are crushed to death.

I trust the sofa will save me.

Nope, plenty I would read there. 7/10 as not enough from the last thirty years or so.

I buy almost all of my books second hand or they used to belong to my parents. New books are pretty expensive so when I do buy first hand, it’s usually a classic or something I’ve been looking for for awhile.

I tend to download contemporary lit in ebook form though, if that helps
