I have tried reading on a relatively small dose once before, it was the chapter of Invisible Cities about the city made up of water pipes. It was very difficult to focus but once I got in a groove I was intensely awestruck by the prose and the image it seemed to paint in my mind.

Its "just" lucid dreaming, but clearly a distinct kind i think. The properties of astral projection (very realistic, flying around, being mostly in the real world, feeling free ect) usually appear all at once, or not at all. At least thats what i've experienced. I never have dreams where i just walk around disconnected in a realistic map of the real world for example.-

Nah, I’ve felt the same way without having any preconceived notions of wanting to differentiate them. LSD is generally more lucid, your headspace is clearer and doesn’t feel as invaded. This is assuming you’re not doing monstrous doses. I’ve gotten the same impressions from other druggies.

Mushrooms are kino. LSD lasts way too long and most of the logic may be sound but a lot is incomprehensible. LSD made me realize that I just ignore the functions of the world. I equate it to seeing all the mechanisms at work. Mushrooms looks at the beauty within. It gives a more self-reflecting vibe rather than the intense nature of LSD. The visuals are better too. Everything becomes visually fantastic and I am the cinematographer of my life. Shrooms end in about 5 hrs as opposed to 18 for acid. I'm done with it.

If acid you're taking is lasting 18 hours I don't think you doing LSD. I have always been done with the peak at hour 6 and normal by 10.

You've blandly echoed all the stereotypes I've pointed out, so I'm clearly familiar with them, and have felt their draw when I first began tripping, but upon further analysis I've found that these kinds of divisions, while authentically felt, are nonetheless highly dependent on individual circumstance and do not describe the phenomena in question with an iota of objectivity. anyone fucking around with acid should really bite the bullet and take an 800ug dose. set everything up, babyproof your house, be prepared to spend hours rolling around on your bed with your eyes rolled back seeing everything fold into yourself

desu I did acid a few times last winter and spring (~2-400ug each time) and just recently stopped seeing residual hallucinations. Nothing major but after 800ug I feel like you'd have real problems.

The one time I did shrooms it fucked with my stomach so much. At first the trip was great and I went into a black room and experienced I guess an “ego death” but then for at least an hour or maybe more after I felt intensely nauseous. Finally that passed but then the next day I had the worst stomach ache and took a big painful shit. Any idea why this happened? I have two hypotheses, one is that even though I didn’t dislike when the mushroom hit certain parts of my tongue I gagged so hard. I ended up not chewing them up very much. The other is that I have Crohn’s disease and it affected that somehow. I hesitate to try shins again because I never want to experience that. Is there perhaps a different way to consume them, like powdered up in tea or something?
