Why are we not acknowledging as a society how this piece of shit is corrupting the world?

Get to grips with the dormant darkness which lies within our very fundation. It's not hard to understand. Jung in my opinion is a veracious Satanist, standing against what the mendacious pest known as Christianity had spread for centuries before him.

'The most masculine man needs women, and he is consequently their slave. Become a woman yourself, and you will be saved from slavery to woman.... It is good for you once to put on women's clothes: people will laugh at you, but through becoming a woman you attain freedom from women and their tyranny. The acceptance of femininity leads to completion. The same is valid for the woman who accepts her masculinity.' ~Jung from the Red Book

I think he's talking about accepting the anima and not rejecting her or being controlled by her.

i take a g*rmans words for face value ONLY

But he was swiss

>Why are we not acknowledging as a society how this piece of shit is corrupting the world?
Jung was a complete brainlet in math since his school days. If you're willing to listen to someone who doesn't know shit about actual science, it's your fault to begin with.

same thing, swiss is just a less pretty version of german.

What does MBTI stand for, genius?

>Jungian typology is neccesarily MBTI

where to start with this fella

Start with his biography book.

I think he’s pretty smart with words and has a wide usage of explanatory

I mean like if he’s a faggot, acknowledge his respectful way of delivering his deep thoughts and explaining mentalities he didn’t live with

>introduced the idea you have to belong to some snowflake identity

The Archtypes are literally at how people fall into certain categories, across cultures, religions and language and how it's backed up by the world's mythical, religious and literature tradition.

>don't argue with people, just tell them they're not acknowledging their dark side and leave it at that

It's well established that suppressing your shadow is self destructive. Chris-Chan used to be virulently anti gay. Now he's a lesbian transwoman.

Chris-chan isn't someone who acknowledged his shadow, she is more of an example of someone who got consumed by it. Around the same time she came out as trans she become completely psychotic, assaulting strangers, creating a delusion about his OCs being real etc.

Fuck, someone should really do a Jungian analysis on Chris-chan. Especially her "art", it could provide really good insight.

That's the point. Chris Chan didn't acknowledge his shadow, and it consumed him. That's the chief danger of suppressing or ignoring The Shadow. It'll manifest in destructive ways, it may even fully possess you to the point where you become a monster. The fact he's mentally ill probably accelerated or exaggerated it.

And a Jungian analysis of Chris-Chan would be fascinating as fuck, although alot of her art is a plan wish fulfillment fantasy.

But how do you know if the shadow is consuming you?

>The fact he's mentally ill probably accelerated or exaggerated it.
Or maybe, just MAYBE, this could explain it all away and we don't need some far-fetched "dark side" star wars tier theory to try to explain it

Yeah is totally not Freud's perverted ideas that were used by cultural marxist socialists that are corrupting the world.

That's down to the person, as the poster said, Chris became increasingly unhinged and violent post transition. Being consumed or possessed by The Shadow is basically the person becoming their deepest, darkest desires and fantasies. It's the shadow overcoming the Ego, but in an unhealthy manner. The Individuation process is the process of integrating your shadow with your conscious mind, and thus, becoming something more resembling an individual, rather than a persona, or a hologram of a person.

The Shadow isn't bad, or necessarily dark. Even positive things like passions and interests can be part of The Shadow, via repression or suppression. I'm sure most of us have experienced it, we say we don't like something, we say it loudly and even act out how much we don't like it. Fast-Forward a few months, you're doing the very thing you loudly proclaimed you didn't like.

Boiling down the concept of The Shadow to some 'dark side' is naive, and there's way more to it. You can view it as positive, for example, you're very agreeable and have trouble asserting yourself. Like I have, I realized alot of my anxieties stem from my inability, or unwillingness to do so, and I've had fantasies and wishes about this for the longest time, just I dismissed them as such; fantasies. Through it I've made positive changes which has actually reduced my instances of anxiety.

And it's interesting to note for Chris, that his art has included violent ideation against any and all of his percieved enemies, such as jerkops, mary lee walsh, dang dirty trolls and Lee Snyder.

And post transition, he has acted out violence, toward Lee Snyder of the game place in the hit and run incident, and the gamestop employee who tried to stop him vandalising the sonic display.

Literally the same level as christfags talking about demons and trying to live with God's grace

People accept the idea of the subconscious - a non vocal part of the human psyche which watches what you do. It's the same thing.

man and his symbols

As if the world wasn't big enough for two subversive brainlets.
Jung is if anything more insidious because he is less known and less in your face.
It's not the 70s anymore, Freud is discredited, you can't just accuse people of having repressed oedipus and not be called on it anymore. Meanwhile jungian ideas are still lurking unopposed.

not really and it's more evidence based, which you would know if you actually read it

Jung was right and you have no chance at debunking archetypes/collective unconscious/whatever
>brainlet
project harder

Can you name anyone better than Jung? Regarding the material he touched. Can you?

>freud has been debunked.

Except his ideas are universally accepted, dreams having meaning, id, ego, super ego. The Oedipal complex.

*some of his ideas

Freud obviously revolutionized psychology, but his psychosexual developement theory is mostly discredited.

Oh I agree, Freud's fixation on the sexual is probably projection on his part, as Jung once told him. Just the body of his work is pretty much buried in modern pop culture.

Why does he say to put on women's clothes? is it a metaphor?

>red book
Im positive its a metaphor regarding accepting animus

Jung was right about everything

Again why the fuck do you need to understand everything as if it were a shitty high fantasy novel. There aint no fucking shadow, that name is fucking faggy like you. Explain that to me, why you are all so pathetic.

>never gonna consciously reintegrate his unconscious content and subsequently realize the Self

Damn, I took it literal. Started walking around the house in my grandmother's frock, screaming "I am the Other", while eating leftover peach sorbet. I tried to tell Nani (that's what we call her) that I was trying to integrate the animus into my being, and she just continued to shame and berate me until I promised to leave her clothes alone. I tried to explain, "Nani, do you want The Shadow to engluf me?"
Our relationship has been strained ever since.

He came up with a neat way to analyze story structure.

But I can't take his psychology that seriously because of the weird emphasis on muh dreams.

>nah bro dreams are completely meaningless xD

I almost never have dreams at all, let alone significant ones. Seems pretty tenuous to base your whole system on them.

>I almost never have dreams at all
Literal soulless NPC

You probably do, you just dont remember them. Dreams are always stories in the short term memory and get forgotten shortly after waking up.
To get enough dream info for psychoanalysis you need to start writing them down down right after waking up. This will also train your brain to remember dreams better.
