Is there a realistic way to follow in his steps in current year? Meaning cutting yourself off from technology and becoming a hermit.

Most of our modern lives depend on the internet, for instance.

why do you people keep trolling with this retard?
>SOMEONE BUILT A ROAD 2 DAYS HIKE FROM MY CABIN.
>better kill everyone

If you don't understand why Ted did what he did, you don't belong here

read ellul, then read lasch, then you'll have an actionable political identity based on ecology thats not just narcissism

>virgin prehensility
>Chad Active Misrecognition

if you have to ask then you’ve already lost

>don't know how to make fires
>can't put anything together
>don't know how to grow any food
>don't know how to hunt
>don't know how to cook without shopping at a supermarket
>don't know how to make the minimum money still necessary for taxes and some other goods
What covers these and more?

>Most of our modern lives depend on the internet, for instance
How does your life depend on the internet at all?
Just because you use it doesn't mean you need it

read harassment architecture

>Most of our modern lives depend on the internet
Literally just as a matter of convenience. There is nothing offered that doesn't have an analogue.

what this guy said

You can still do what he did now, it's just harder and takes longer and you'll probably need a better way to save money than he did initially.

Thanks , cool litter from ted

Yes, there is
Figure it out yourself nigger

>how to make fire
Youtube is your best bet for this, it's a more effective medium to teach you this skill. (Also learned through trial and error)
>put anything together
Too vague
>don't know how to grow food
Lookup the backyard homestead books; good series and might be able to help you with your previous question
>cook without supermarket
It's no different depending how off the grid you are going; if you are going without electricity I like townsends (on youtube) as a source for that sort of cooking; he also recommends a few 18th century cookbooks that may be able to help.
>how to make minimum money
It's likely you will have neighbors if you are paying a property tax. Make goods and sell them to your neighbors, or render a service. Blacksmithing, handyman work, baked goods, jams/salsa, lawnmowing, stud fees, meat chickens, etc are all viable options. if you have an internet connection you could transcribe audio files (this doesnt pay much and will be automated in a few years). You could also commute to a local city for 2-3 weeks and work manual labor gigs you find on craigslist. Everything depends on how cheap you plan to live, and how many necessities you plan to leave behind.

Most jobs have people using a computer connected to the internet at this point. Anyone planning to work in a corporate environment for long must also maintain a presentable social media presence and be able to check emails at home, and if you want to maintain a relationship with anyone not living in bumfuck nowhere you're going to need a smartphone. Also, more and more services are becoming online only. I have no idea where you're coming from but it doesn't seem to be from a first world country.

Doesn't he have a book literally about this?

It's about revolting against the system, not living apart from it.
buy some survival guides and move to alaska.

>1. Please send me more letters

>Is it possible to stop using the internet?
