I've been banned for "trolling using greentext" and have had using my name in the namefield result in an auto ban. That was nearly 10 years ago, however.

Remember, you're here forever.

NO HOWARD DON'T DO IT!

Howard, please! Don't say your cat's name! No!

Why don't you tell us your best poem?

Attached: 8rdniKieMBULtPuVM5XNdgcoSKB81tNu_HyYSnvIRNM.png (960x576, 209K)

When, long ago, the gods created Earth
In Jove's fair image Man was shaped at birth.
The beasts for lesser parts were next designed;
Yet were they too remote from humankind.
To fill the gap, and join the rest to Man,
Th'Olympian host conceiv'd a clever plan.
A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure,
Filled it with vice, and called the thing a Nigger.

>Th'Olympian
How do you pronounce this, I think it break the rhyme of the whole poem

the-limp-ee-an

thanks

You'd pronounce it exactly how it's written: tho-LYM-pi-an. The letter "e" in "the" is being elided, so you would not pronounce it.
Wrong and stupid.

thank you too

Also you're stupid too. How does it break the *rhyme*? The rhyme is "man" and "plan," which is unaffected. The vowel of "the" is elided to help the line fit the meter of the poem; it's not an issue of rhyme. You can see the same thing in Paradise Lost, for example, which is written in blank verse.

>elided
well done
