Hello, my name is Ethan. According to my calculations, I will spend 32% of my life asleep. Additionally, I will spend 35% of my life at my place of work, a state of being I dislike strongly. I will commute for about 4% of my life. Roughly 72% of my life will thus be spent either unconscious or unhappy. A ballpark estimate puts “chores” (paying bills, laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, walking my dog Fritz, etc.) at another 15%. This is 87% of my life used up so far.
Considering all of the above (sans sleeping) takes energy, I will have about 70% energy to commit to the remaining 13% of life that belongs to me. Given these numbers, is there any reason to continue existence? Would you play a video game for 80 years if 87% of it was absolute shit? Asking for a friend.
Sleeping is absolute shit? You aren't likely to be spending your entire life working a job that you are miserable 100% of the time either.

Depends on what you do with the 13%

Yep, most people live lives that are pretty shitty, they’re just too dumb to realize it. As you point out, the vast majority of the average mans waking hours are taken up by annoying shit they don’t want to do.
However, if user is smart and still young, he can craft his life to minimize the drudgery and obligations.
1) don’t get married and sure as fuck don’t have kids. A wife and children will doom you to endless work, expense, and worry. Be free and unattached, and you’ll find that you need to expend much less labor to procure the necessities. 2) live modestly. Move to a place with extremely low cost of living/cheap real estate 3) extract as many resources as you can from the rotting carcass that is America. You will quality for Medicaid and prolly all sorts of other stuff. Don’t be afraid to say gibsmedat 4) in short, work as little as possible, enjoy your autonomy, read, exercise, and sleep late.
You can do this Ethan. I know you can. Don’t get sucked into the crushing jaws of bourgeois existence

>not realizing this is a prison planet it was designed to make us suffer now, rehabilitate and pay for your cosmic crimes
if you're clever enough to see society enough for what it is, you should be clever enough start a small business after saving for the startup in a shit job and live comfortably.

being unconscious isnt a positive or negative state of being, also quit your job and get a new one

Owning your own business is a pain in the ass. You’ll work even more, and although you may end up making a lot of money, you could also go broke. And you’ll be working your ass off to do it.
No, true wealth is L E I S U R E. The ability to put your feet up while everyone else scrambles frantically around you is the mark of the true patrician.
One should craft a life that is as free from all obligations as humanly possible.
