He reads a lot, much more than I do, but he says almost nothing.
To be fair, I've only seen a few of his videos in full, but if they're representative then I wouldn't be surprised were it revealed that he's not actually even reading any of these books.
He also makes this really dumb /literary/ expression
youtube.com
he finally read kino so I can live with him
>He reads Yea Forums kind of books
I think it’s the other way around desu
Who cares.
Yea Forums kind of books read him?
He likes books for the right reasons. He enjoys them and gets central messages straight. I think he is honest about his takes, pretending nothing. Plus, let a litizen live the live we all want to live.
What makes him a "pseud"? He just talks about books he likes in an accessible way, it's not like he's attempting serious criticism or anything.
>that awful guitar intro
Is there anything this guy can do?
>I ROASTED A COFFEE I'M SO PROUD
Didn't realise he was even still posting. I dropped his ass after that embarrassing Recognitions "review"
He has deleted that Recognitions review lol
How was it like?
Reminder that you barely have to skim a wikipedia page to be a successful yt reviewer
>he reads Yea Forums kinds of books
Stop watching booktubers and use the BBC in our times podcast, it’s better. It’s better because they have people in academia come on and give coherent reviews of the authors and the work.
Exactly, and this is what you would expect from a booktuber, OP you’re a fucking dunce
he talks about how heavy the book is and does some curls with it and how he doesn't know what it's about
the book seemingly elicited no interesting thoughts in him whatsoever that he thought were worth talking about, so he just drags the video out reading a summary from wikipedia that's about it
part of me wonders if he even read the book, but even to give him the benefit of the doubt that he did, to call oneself a reviewer and to seemingly read the text and come away with absolutely nothing to talk about it a sad indictment of his ability to engage with any text with a critical eye
the guy seems less like a reviewer and more like the average reader talking about about a book he read.
I dropped him when he started shilling Jordon Peterson's personality cult bullshit.
they're too liberal and niggerlovin'
Ignorance is bliss, ignore your folly thoughts and check it out for yourself, I don’t give a fuck if you do or you don’t
>posing to take a black-and-white photo of yourself holding the Book of Disquiet
kek, enjoy getting haunted by Pessoa's angry and amused spirit for the rest of your life
Funny that i see this complaint all the time about this guy, yet, Yea Forums talking about books isn't in any way different from him. Literally only funny mamaes and wikipedia tier "knowledge" about the work.
Reviews are always shallow. If you want something thorough and deep look for essays or analysis.
Pessoa was a satanist, mystical, evil creature. He's rotting in hell RIGHT NOW and is in no condition to haunt anyone.
If they're as shitty as their tv series, then no thanks. Will check them out.
